compensatory draft pick imo

If a Bears fan can say this it makes me feel slightly better...

Not surprised the running into the kicker called on Dallas in the end-zone resulting in a Lions TD isn't talked about at all with all these bad calls popping up that favor the Lions. There were momentum changing calls on both sides.
The game was horribly officiated and it's unfortunate because it minimizes how much fight the Cowboys had to come back from that deficit and ballsy calls by Garrett. The Cowboys a few years ago would have folded like tissue paper when they were down 0-14.

The game was horribly officiated and it's unfortunate because it minimizes how much fight the Cowboys had to come back from that deficit and ballsy calls by Garrett. The Cowboys a few years ago would have folded like tissue paper when they were down 0-14. I have heard it talked about (and why Dallas didn't get a call in their favor on a similar play). Those calls were justifiable (and had they gone differently, also could have been explained). There's also holding that goes uncalled on a lot of plays... Picking up a flag after the penalty has been announced and measured? That's new. Especially without explanation! Finally there's ZERO judgement in calling a foul on a player running on the field without a helmet to argue a play...
The Lions were in prime position to beat them and failed to tackle and cover properly on a few key plays (the covering defender fell down on two of their big 3rd/4th down plays!).
I don't want to take away from the Cowboys. They put together a great season (considering who they've had at RB setting a rushing record is amazing!). They stayed in the game and pulled out a victory. I'm rooting for them over GB, and think they have a legitimate shot.
edit:
moving on...
Bal @ N.E. Car @ Sea Dal @ G.B. Ind @ Den
Ind @ N.E. Dal @ Sea
Sea < N.E.

I'm a Colts fan and even I wouldn't dare call us to win over Broncos... I hope, but it is a daunting task. The only bigger upset imo would be if Panthers beat Seahawks.

I would really like it if either Packers or Colts won.

Why either of those? You don't want Romo/Manning in the SB or what's the story?

I feel bad for Stafford, but my mind rationalizes this as justice for Suh being allowed to play

Carolina all the way #TeamChaos
Kidding aside:
BAL > NE (Does this require explanation?) DEN > IND (Still a Manning mark) GB > DAL (I hate them Cowboys and think Aaron Rodgers may be our greatest American) CAR > SEA (Because Seattle is boring and who am I kidding this is never gonna happen)
DEN > BAL (Again, Manning) GB > CAR (Again, Rodgers)
DEN > GB (Manning wins and retires on top and stops the senseless "Eli has more rings than Peyton" nonsense)

I kind of really want the league to implode due to the Panthers winning it all with a sub .500 record. Doubly so when it means Cam's fake ass smile will be plastered all over.
Romo really deserves a ring so that he can finally get credit as being one of the better qbs of his generation, but I fucking hate Cowboy fans way too much. I do want Luck to get one, but considering Indy's inability to regularly field a complete team around two franchise qbs, fuck them.

I would love to see my Panthers win it all just to see CamSmile(TM) everywhere, one of my favorite things
but Seattle will be brutal... (radio stations here in the Seattle area won't shut up about the game and have been going on about it since Monday at like every news break... T.T)

The fucking Seahawks are going to win it all again this year, and every Niners fan is going to climb back into the bottle when it happens.

People forget that the Seahawks have scraped by the Panthers the last three times they played them, including a 13-9 game this season. Granted, these three games have all been at Carolina, but I think people don't do the Panthers justice by assuming that this game is going to be a blowout by half time. People want to bring up the weakness of the Panthers schedule, but let's look at the Seahawks last 6 games.
Seahawks 19-3 Cardinals (vs. 2nd string QB) Seahawks 19-6 49ers (vs. .500 team) Seahawks 24-14 Eagles (vs. 2nd string QB) Seahawks 17-7 49ers (vs. .500 team) Seahawks 35-6 Cardinals (vs. 3rd string QB who can't play to save his life) Seahawks 20-6 Rams (vs. 2nd string QB)
I am not trying to say that none of these wins are impressive, nor am I saying these wins don't count for anything, but let's not pretend like the Seahawks finished the season on a 6 game win streak against top class competition. Indeed, the last 6 games were all played against backups QBs or an underachieving 49ers offense who was crappy all season. The last game they lost was against the Chiefs, a non-playoff team.
Do I expect Carolina to go INTO Seattle and pull off the stunning upset? No. Is it possible? Yes. The Rams did it. I just don't like this narrative that the Seahawks have crushed face the last half of the season and therefore can't lose to Carolina. If we're going to talk about weakness in schedule, the Seahawks aren't immune.

If Flacco beats the Patriots this week it will be even harder to try and ignore his pretty amazing career playoff stats.
I'm disturbed.

Orlando Pace is an obvious 1st ballot HoFer, and I think Junior gets in too. I'm hoping Tim Brown gets in with some room this year to clear the backlog a bit. There are other deserving players on that list but I was always specifically a fan of Brown so have some bias in hoping he gets in ahead of others.
