Yeah I am not particularly worried about losing Brooks. In fact, considering they need to save $$, they're nuts if they don't cut/move him.
Carradine and Dial might pan out, but they've shown a whole lot less than Lynch has. Don't forget they lost McDonald and most likely Smith too. Losing your starting DEs without having an equal replacement is huge in a 3-4. That's way more of an issue.
The offense is definitely a problem. I am not too worried about RB since Hunter should be good to go and that's ok as a tandem. Iupati is a huge loss. Crabtree definitely isn't worth the money he thinks he will get, but at the same time, the WR core is even worse now even if he really is just a #2 wr. Boldin's the only legit threat. I just don't think Stevie Johnson is that good, nor is anyone else currently on the roster.

I mean he looks a lot less mobile compared to his younger self (which wasn't even that much to begin with) and his accuracy isn't where it used to be but he sure looks 2x better than Peyton right now. How much does Brady's knee bother him? Afaik that's his only major injury right? I imagine his decline will be at a slower rate since Peyton seems a lot more beat up

That dude interviewing was just going to town on this guy. It was probably a very uncomfortable interview.

The scuttlebutt around the Bay Area is that Jed York is the source of all of the leaks about Harbaugh, so a lot of people in the media have been out to get him. That interview certainly did not disappoint.

Huh, if it really wasn't his fault why would they still fine him? o_O

Man that guy should be suspended for an entire season the next time something like this comes up. It's the only way he'll ever learn.

Actually pretty happy Suh is playing this game. It may be competitive now. Dude should def be on his last straw though.

if i was the lions i wouldn't want to risk a mccoy-type contract on him. i'd rather resign fairley even though he's relatively the lesser player. also i'm shocked that rex ryan's name hasn't been mentioned anywhere at all for a hc job. he's clearly the best candidate out of the lot. some candidates that i feel need to have a chance but always get ignored - greg olson (makes any quarterback functionable e.g. carr, freeman) and bob sutton (turned KC into a defensive beast),

He's proven himself inept enough at coaching offense to warrant being a permanent DC, but he could be a damn good one imo. Bears D seems like a good project for him, they certainly can't be worse...
Brady's decline won't be like Manning's, assuming Brady doesn't have 4(?) neck surgeries. Brady has never been mobile but his footwork inside the pocket has been excellent. It was bad to start this year because he had gotten too comfortable and had to relearn it, but he got it back and even has a few good runs under his belt this year.

Unless he's asking for something absurd, I think you give him a contract.
Juding by what is out there, I probably would want Rex or an internal hire (Fangino or Tomsula). The rest are all just completely unappealing.

I'd hire Rex as a head coach. I think he's really good, especially viewed in light of the managerial shit show that he had to deal with in New York. It's not like those offenses were loaded with talent. Just get Rex a good offensive coordinator, and all should be well.

I absolutely agree. As bad as the Jets offense was the past few years, I don't think any of the "offensive geniuses" (note the quotation marks) like Payton or McDaniels could have done much better. Sometimes, you just can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

The fact that Santonio Holmes was their go-to guy for so long is hilarious and sad. That being said, the Niners offense isn't gonna look that much better after this offseason. But because of how good the defense will be again, they really don't have to do much more than be a power run, ball possession offense. They just need the line to be more healthy so Kaep doesn't eat turf 52 times next year, and Kaep needs to make less shitty decisions in the pocket.
I've been saying it for a while now, but it sure would fucking help this offense if they got a wideout who was a regular threat on deep routes. VD is the only one who does that, he sucked this year, but he's also a great blocker so he was in a lot more this year with how bad the line was.

Also, look for his contract (wherever he plays - I agree that I'd rather see the Lions resign Fairly for half) set a new DT record.
As a fan, I'm glad Suh will be able to play, however that second step was intentional and despite his "recent" history being clean the suspension should have been upheld.

Apparently the reason he was able to appeal and lose the suspension but not the fine was because the league has a good behavior policy. You basically have to play 32 games without getting any kind of discipline and you are no longer a repeat offender.
This was game 33 for him haha

This was game 33 for him haha It's hilarious to me how consistently shitty the league is at following its own rules.
