I'm proud of them for actually having the restraint to make the safe call over the flashy one. As a fan I'm disappointed though. Really wanted to see Johnny Clipboard play to see what happens.

That is all NFL teams ever do, make safe calls. That's why flacco and Dalton ate so massively overpaid, in the same stupid division. It's why coaches still punt down 14 on fourth and 2 from the 40. Damn.

Hoyer also has as many TDs (11) as he does turnovers for the season even with that kind of awesome support. Again, the downslide started after Oct. 17 when Alex Mack went down for the year. From then on, the sacks went up, and soon after, so did the turnovers and his performance declined. While that beyond Hoyer's control, Manziel's skillset makes him a better choice behind a porous line I just don't think it's a particularly smart move. Hoyer's playstyle isn't exactly safe, and at the same time, it doesn't exactly produce a whole lot (2nd to last in passing%; 17th in ypg; 26th in TD) I also think that Manziel's definitely in if he doesn't play well again.

It just said Johnny Football like 20 times lol

They fuck things up like it's their job. Plus, if people think Hoyer isn't safe, then Manziel must be American clown in North Korea. It's not as if Hoyer is guaranteed to finish the game. If he has a bad first half I expect to see Manziel in the 2nd. Their defense is good enough to keep them in the game, most likely.

Manziel is unsafe, but at least not knowably crappy. Think about it this way, they only have 2 wins against teams with a winning record (Pitt, Cincy). Their other wins? NO, Ten, Oak, Tampa, ATL. Basically a whos-who of the worst teams in the league (plus a loss to Jacksonville).

Someone had some fun to create as much chaos as possible, so they had 7 or 8 teams go 9-7 so they could play out a nasty number of tie breakers. No way it actually happens, the Pats will steamroll.

I think they'll lose to Miami if any of those 4. They really do struggle when facing good ground games, and Miami is the only one of four with a scary running game. Phillip Rivers will find a way to lose, I'm almost certain of it.
