The lowest possible would be what 0 wins 6 ties or 3 wins playoff appearance?

That's kind of the problem, the D is his and has been the driving force his entire regime. The offense has never been good, even when he had the "ground and pound" he wanted. The guy's a great defensive coordinator but his offensive abilities seem to fall short, and that comes back to him, regardless of the GM. I'll agree that the blame can be placed on him if you blame him for holding onto Schottenheimer and Mornhinweg for as long as he has. I don't know if that's his call or the FO's. Those two are awful. He had the power to literally call the plays himself though, so even if he had OC's he didn't want it's still on him. I don't agree with that. The NFL isn't Madden where a defensive coach can call plays competently. You have to trust your OC if you're running the defense.

I don't think any of the defensive guys could, or vice versa. I don't think Belichick would ever want to be running the Pats offense, or Sean Payton the Saints D.

But BB has and does pay special attention to the areas where the pats struggle (The O-line this year was the big project). If he really isn't capable of helping the offense at all when it's struggling then he shouldn't be a HC in the first place imo. Either way, he was given some shitty O's to work with throughout most of his tenure.

Even if he wasnt playcalling, he ultimately is responsible for developing his supposed franchise quarterbacks, and he failed that spectacularly, twice.

Ahh yes, C.J. Anderson. Can we stop pretending we know anything about the quality of offensive players surrounding Peyton Manning?

what a day for lynch. he probably should have had another one too when the seahawks were on the 1 but screwed it up

Palmer injured again days after that fat extension.

At least we know the backup can play. Stanton gives them a good chance to win while Palmer recovers. If he is out for the season, however, then I'd start really worrying.

is it the same knee that palmer tore against the steelers a long time ago? edit: yeah, apparently it's the left knee again.
