Yeah the first link didnt work for me either...UFC's twitter sent this one out and its working.
Saw on twitter that apparently Dana does want a Cyborg/Rousey fight but wants her to make 135 a few times before it or something. No idea if this is true. Might be the only one who could take Rousey, otherwise I see her title reign being very long.

Missed this event, saw the gifs of the finishes... I'd have to say, the number of finishes must've been a change of pace from the last two cards with 11 and 10 decisions.
Again, we still have about 4 more UFC events in the next 4 weeks, GET PUMPED!

You didn't miss much, but Mike Pyle had a good fight (even though I hate his mullet) and Jessica Eye got her ass handed to her by Alexis Davis. That win over Sarah Kaufman was bullshit, and Eye doesn't belong in the top 5, and tonight just showed that.
I was really disappointed by the main events. Daniel Cormier vs Patrick Cummins looked like an episode of Bully Beatdown, and I was hoping for a more epic fight between Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann, and McMann was hitting Rousey pretty hard at the beginning of the round and then knees happened and gg... whaaa? Well, I know knees hurt and can finish fights with one hit, but... I guess I was hoping for more.

Cheers. Interesting to hear the opinions on the stoppages after ppl have reviewed the footage. The ref really does have the best view in the house. Many ppl get carried away with backseat refereeing imo.

McMann was done. She took a clear shot to the liver. She wasn't defending herself from that poinnt.

Watching the gif, I figured McMann was done, dunno what there is to complain about. She "doubled over" and probably felt "paralyzed" afterwards.

Then why let anyone recover ever...just call the fight as soon as they are dazed. I've watched guys get knocked out cold, wake up from the impact of hitting the mat, grab for a single leg, and eat repeated punches for 30+ seconds and sometimes it is stopped and sometimes they let it go and we listen to Rogan scream praise about a dudes recovery time. Herb let Pyle beat on Waldburger until he was nearly dead, but saved McMann pretty much instantly because she drops from a well placed knee? Seems silly. It's the inconsistency that pisses people off.
I'm not denying she wasn't hurt, but you have to give a fighter time to recover. She was hit with ONE follow up punch. ONE. She was working to defend herself and get back to her feet by the time the 3rd punch was coming/Herb was jumping in. I'm not even upset because I wanted McMann to win, I'm upset because they came out to scrap and they were well on their way to saving that card but we, as fans, got robbed.

I do agree that consistency is the key, and I'm not even disagreeing with your point. Yeah, she should've been given time to at least "have a shot" at recovering, in either attempting to go for a single leg or getting up a second or two after doubling over. Didn't see the Waldburger/Pyle fight, but again, similar to decisions and the judging, consistency is the key.

66 second fight good thing I didn't pay for that.

I am going to say if Rousey lets Cyborg punch her in the face like she let McMann hit her she will be going to sleep. Rousey took some solid shots (gave a couple, too).

When Mcmann falls she gets punched and while on all fours mcmann taps out on ronda's thigh.

pyle vs waldberger - i liked this fight. never seen either of these fighters before, but the fight was dynamic and fun to watch. the tko should've been stopped earlier though. man it was painful to watch him get beat on like that.
rory vs demian - another good fight. i saw some people complaining about rory getting hit by demian's punches even though demian's striking isn't that good, but it seemed like rory was putting more of his focus on being ready to defend takedowns, rather than focusing on head movement. a takedown would be more devastating than getting hit a few times, so if rory had to choose, i think he's right to devote his energy to takedown defense.
dc vs pat - lol what a stomp. they really needed to interview pat after the fight.
rousey vs mcmann - herb should not have stopped it that early; same as barao vs faber. really, give her a chance to recover. it's extremely difficult to make the right calls in the heat of the moment where a second or two can make a huge difference, but in retrospect, it really does look like the wrong call.

I'm a bit late, but holy shit no, she didnt tap, she was going for the leg.
Herb was horrible that night, absolutely horrible.
A terribly late stoppage in the Pyle/TJ fight, and then a ridiculously fast stoppage in the title fight.
McMann was fine, she just got dropped briefly and was getting back up. Ronda's GnP was pathetic. You don't stop fights when someone gets dropped, even boxing requires 3 before a finish.
Dana is happy though, his excessively promoted bitch of a womens bw champion continues on. I'd love to see the buyrate for this card though, cause for Dana to call her the biggest current UFC draw is stupid - but calling her the biggest star in the UFC of all time. Well... that's Dana for you. If she quits next week and goes to movies permanently, he'll say she was lucky in all her fights and she was never tested against strong opposition.
