I'm pretty sure a 3rd year software engineer student given a Kinect can do a decent job of a goal line tech thing...

I honestly want them to publicize the voting results - so I can laugh at the people who complain & cry in the front of the cameras after a "phantom goal" when their club voted against the goal tech.

Guardiola hasn't done anything like it and already is preached best coach of the century by you Heynkes got plenty of praise, The problem is detractors like yourself would make it about Guardiola coming and possibly ruining a perfectly good team. And I cant be bothered to dig but everyone was weary of Bayern even before they played Barca.

Don´t know exacly who voted what but: 1. league: 9 yes to 9 no 2. league: 3 yes to 15 no As usual it is a bit more complicated than "they are stupid old man". And that goes over the PR shit. First 200K to 400K might not seem much in a are of Bales and Ronaldos but for german clubs comming up into the second and even the third it is quite a lot of money. This is not the PL were the least rich guys spend more money ont transfers in a year than the bottom 10 clubs in germany together. (I made this up a bit but for scale: Mainz 05, currently 7th place in Bundesliga made a transfer this winter that set records for the club. It was around 5 million €). Also most clubs especially in the second league dont own their stadiums which means it comes the question "who pays that". Often the stadium is owned by a company which is owned in parts by different people like the club, fan organisations or the citys in which it stands. These shareholders care about the sport but they care even more about half amillion spend on something that doesn´t bring money and is useful in 1 of 100 games. This is more about "who pays it" than "it is not traditional blabla...". What everyone loves about german football, the independance of the clubs, is bad this time.

First thing. Season before he took over, Barcelona (came 3rd) ended up 10 points behind Villareal in the league. Guardiola proceeded to sell two of Barcelonas biggest stars. Ronaldinho and Deco (and next season Etoo as well). He moved Busquets, Pedro and Pique to the A-team. Remember this was a long time ago. Then, he managed the players to work really hard. The "gegenpressen" (preassure of the ball holder) was really impressive the next seasons. As a tactical coach in game - I'm not that impressed, but he isn't bad either. However he did have a good eye for building up a team - and also believing in what he did. So - overall he did a huge job and people not giving him credit for that just don't know much. His work at Bayern is harder to judge IMO. What we can say is that it's been fine so far, and that he really employs his own philosophy of the game. Playing Lahm as a midfielder half of the season, that's a pretty bald move.

People only say that when their club doesn't have problems and/or has a secret fan (sponsor). Hoffenheim, Leipzig, Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, .... In recent times also 1860 & Hertha with their investors. As you mentioned the cities owning stadiums (Kaiserslautern, ...). Ask an MSV Duisburg fan if he would have preferred a "sponsor" or the forced relegation to the 3. Liga. Or ask an Aachen fan (Regionalliga). 2. Bundesliga is a ticking time bomb for almost every "traditional" club. It's just a matter of time until it blows up. I would gladly give up the independence so that my club is able to play EL. Hell, even average Bundesliga with no fear of relegation would be fine. But no, I have to fear every season that my club is doing shit in the sport/economic department which might kill it with a bit of bad luck. And yes, we have more fans than Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg & Leverkusen. But that is worth shit. Independence is worth shit. Money is everything. (sry for the rant^^)

(sry for the rant^^) The problem is that the fans do everything to prevent big, single sponsors, Hoffenheim is hated all over the place, Bayern for spending their money, Red Bull Leipzig even worse than Hoffenheim. And you mentioned Duesburg but 1860 Munich is a other example were most of the "real" fans actually wanted the club to go bankrupted and reset in the 5th league because they dont care about the league and success. Dortmund on the other hand made 50 million + last year and still market itself as the "we are so poor and still god underdog". Its just german mentality that showing off is considered to be a bad thing.

Yes Bugatti belongs to Volkswagen but nobody here would ever think of Germany as the home of Bentley, Bugatti or Lamborghini. We don't show off that much : P Even škoda would be debatable as I guess most perceive it as a czech brand.
