Too good?
He finished just ahead of his teammate... nothing particularly good about that. They started together and finished together.

Mandatory TWO pitstops. Now you can no longer do a different strategy, everyone will just two or three stop, no longer would lower teams have any chance to get good finishes by trying an audacious one stop strategy, and everyone will just follow each other into the pits every race. Hopefully enough of the lower teams will point out how absurd it is and vote the stupid proposal down as making no sense and doing nothing to help anything, except make everything way more predictable.

Wow, that sounds really retarded. If they force it it's gonna be the end of F1 for me. They should also roll the dice to determine the the order at the finish line before the race.

He does have one win to his credit which he earned and he was very competitive, particularly at the end of the 2012 season (when he kept it on the road). And this year, the car has been shit (even 'star-in-waiting' Bottas has struggled). We are not talking of Alex Yoong or Taki Inoue levels of pay driver here.

No, but we are talking about someone who deliberately drove into other drivers, intentionally put himself and his car in a position to crash into others putting all involved out of the race, someone who blamed his team for tampering with his car when his performance is laughable compared to that of his team mate... and lets not forget someone that came very close to being totally banned from racing in Monaco becasue in a junior formula he ignored doubled waved yellows and almost killed a marshal... The man is a dangerous idiot, at least with Roman you can see him growing and progressing as a racing driver, yes he made idiotic mistakes but there was never any intent to harm like Pastor has... further more his performance has grown at his career and this year has gone on... Pastor has had a race or two...

As for talent, Maldonado was Hulk's team-mate in 2009, Nico scored three times the points Pastor did and won the title. He was in his debut season while Maldonado was in his third. They do not compare. I feel bad for Boullier as well as Nico, he has clearly stated that Hulkenberg is the guy he wants but yet has had to give in on Quantum (who are seemingly full of shit) because people's jobs are at stake. I would say only McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes are a meritocracy now, with RB only interesting in promotion from within and that is a very sad thing for F1.

Pastor has had a race or two... I didn't forget those incidents. Whilst I agree they were stupid incidents and not punished harshly enough, I think we can move past it now. Schumacher isn't defined for some of the more questionable moves he made in his career, people gave him another chance, I think Maldonado deserves the same.

EJ spoiled that 2 months ago xD But i think Perrez is going to be in the other seat. I just hope the 2014 season has alot of retirements for RBR, But i wonder if how many issues the number 2 car will suffer next season, Bad starts and "ERS" failures.

So the 1.6L V6 is already a huge cut, but they are also limiting RPM to 15000, raising the minimum weight of the the cars by 50 or so kg... Not to mention they are adding a maximum to the rate of fuel consumption? Lowering the aerodynamic capabilities of too? Really? Have there really been this many accidents in the last couple years to slow the cars down that much. I feel like the cars are as safe as they have ever been. Next year we will have slower cars, less retirements, more stress on efficiency and maximizing fuel consumption... Bleh, gross. Only cool thing is the ERS-K system, which is sort of like KERS, but uses a different technology and adds 120hp for 7 seconds a lap instead the previous 80hp for 3 seconds. Could make passing a more now resting dynamic. I still believe the reasons why Formula 1 had lost a lot of charm is because I feel as the actual driving aspect doesn't contribute as much as it used to. I think it's more car than ever, because of all the aides that have been getting added in the last 5-10 years. And so it becomes a battle of engineering, which sure, I guess is cool too - for the first race. I know this argument has been brought up many times before, but I just wish they would go more barebone.
