p.s. yesterday i learned about zyzz and the comics of /fit/
we are all going to make it brah!
The comics of /fit/ are friggin hilarious. I find that humor is a good way to motivate yourself when lifting more weight. There's also the Book of Brodin which I enjoyed very much, although it seems like some lifters think it's a bit too much....
Too bad all my friends think I'm some meathead for embracing it... What's wrong with having a good laugh =(.
wtf so many chinups lol. have you thought about adding weight to see your 1rm? or are you training to do as many as possible?
today: glutes, hams, and lower back full of doms from table tennis on monday. haven't played seriously in about 10 months, and i did a bunch of drills with my dad. felt really good, wasn't tired out at all, but then doms hit yesterday~ decided to suck it up and not skip my workout.
3x3 and a 1x1 at 165 bench today; felt good... highest I've ever benched!
On Wednesday some guy saw me doing squats and gave me a lot of bad advice. Being white and in Korea, no one usually ever talks to me in the gym, so I decided to humour him. He said "never hit parallel, you will get a knee injury". Wtf. :/ I didn't even know how to respond to him. I usually squat really deeply so it felt weird. Good thing he left and went home after a few minutes so I didn't insult him. He was a shit load bigger than me (including his legs) so it felt... awkward to try and correct him.
@Ieatkids5 Would you still Squat if you had DOMS in your quads? How'd your squats feel despite have DOMS in your lower back, glutes, and hams?
I did squats a few days ago with back where I left off 3x5 165lb and it seems like the DOMS was creeping back up again. Woke up yesterday and had trouble standing up. Even my hams and glutes are a bit sore since I went up on weight on deadlifts as well. It's miserable man. I just want to get back to doing squats every other day.

Went in and squatted with killer DOMS in my lower and upper back. Crushed a PR triple at 198kg. Feel great today. Nothing like getting the blood flowing to cure the old DOMS. Also, RECOVERY. Sleep, eat, stretch, foam roll.
snuggles, i think so. i might've used a lower weight if my quads weren't feeling up to it. 165 is 20lbs below my current working set, and i felt i should work my way back up because of the doms and because i hadn't squatted for a week or so. they felt fine, and the doms disappeared today.
