No hard feelings
That number is 8 years actually, 6 with mostly traditional lifting and the last 2 being some kind of best of BB-powerlifting-Oly-Crossfit-power yoga stuff.
My goal is to neither be as aesthetic as possible neither as strong, rather as balanced as possible. I want to be able to climb mountains as much as swim laps or hunt gazelle. With a spear
My knees are always sore and feel "shorter". Like if I bend my leg I feel it pulling on both sides when flexing completely. Any suggestions? They also hurt when descending stairs and look swollen. It seems dangerous to keep squatting, despite the fact that I don't even feel weight on my quads. I'm kinda paranoid they will randomly blow up.
I'm gonna take a stab that you've been doing a lot more ass to grass work with the olympic work and your muscles are MILES ahead of your connective tissue due to the high weight lower range of motion powerlifting work. Since your muscles feel good you keep pushing them even though your joints haven't caught up to your stregnth yet.
Eshlow feel free to tell me if that's complete bro science logic.

Yeah pretty much it. Bouncing the ass on the calf feels awesome.
Tried this (with used powerlifting wraps) and its really like vodoo magic. Left knee looks 100% normal and right knee is back to 90%. (Did with 1 wrap above the knee, other below)
Edit: Holy shit, should have taken before/after pictures. Left knee looks like before I started oly lifting.
Good day at the gym before they close a week for spring break. Squat 205 3x5 - Form check video to follow Deadlift 225 1x5 Bench 225 2,1 - PR! Video to follow
2 plate bench has been a goal of mine for a super long time, finally broke through this last month and got it, 20lb PR over the last month.

So I have a question about that video. If you're leaning forward like that guy in the video does, is that an issue with thoracic spine mobility, ankle mobility, or hip mobility (or possibly some kind of combination)?
Squat moving along as expected. Had a great workout today, completely fasted. Somehow I've ended up basically doing IF the last two weeks, since it seems like every morning I wake up to back to back ambulance calls, then I hit the gym, eat dinner, have class, eat again and go to sleep. It's working though, still 194-196 and not looking bloated anymore. Would be cool to stay 190+ and have abs, even if I don't hit 200 in the meantime.
0 knee pain, the triples were the most beautiful squats I've ever done. Ass to grass, fast, no foward lean; it is awesome to squat without lower back strain.
Form check video on squat. I'm dumb and didn't ask my friend to get it straight on from my back and didn't think to check until we had left. So can't really tell if I shift one way or the other but could still use comments. Squat And pr'd on bench at 225lb. Bench
Tested my squat today after the 3 week smolov cycle. Went up 16kg to 172kg babyyy. I'm not planning on doing the rest of the cycle lol. Snatched up to 95kg and CJ up to 109kg and called it a day.
