I'm sure a lot of people love Chipotle though so do whatever you want.
gotta work the system bro. half of two meats = free double meat. fajita veges are free, extra rice is free, etc. (obv cooking at home is preferable, but sometimes you gotta eat on the road)
I still prefer Moe's though. They use grass fed beef and free range chicken and cook all the shit right there in front of you.
I only ate Moe's freshman year of college when I was too high to walk to Chipotle , but to each their own. Always go double steak and lots of brown rice/black beans. The convenience of getting around 1.2k cals in a single burrito is hard for me to pass up.

Wait like half steak and half barbacoa only counts as one but they give you more or something?
Also, what's this about $4.50, where do you live??
In most east coast cities chipotle varies between $7-9. More for extras. I've certainly eaten chipotle before and will again. But I tend to view it as a last resort before going hungry in a food desert when I'm out. If I never ate chipotle again I'd be ok with it.

You're "supposed to" get only a regular portion, but since they don't really measure you usually end up getting 3/4 of a serving of each.
I live in upstate New York. Every Chipotle I've ever been to is ~6.25 for a regular bowl, and $3 for extra meat. Like I said last page (starting this whole discussion) EMS gets a 50% discount, so my 9 dollar double meat is only 450.
I think Chipotle is pretty overrated, but maybe that's just because I can barely digest it =/
So anyway, I have a question. Do you guys have any recommendations for weight lifting shoes? I'd like to keep it below $100 if that's possible to get a good pair, but I'd go up as high as $120 if I really need to.
And I did some more squatting, but I still wasn't upright enough that it's really worth looking at. Same problems as before tbh. I'm going to keep doing the counter-weighted squat and hopefully I'll keep making progress.

My Adidas Power Perfect II's got nicked in NYC this summer but they were phenomenal. The leather was comfortable and molded to my feet really well, I felt more stable and connected to the ground in those shoes than barefoot. They should be around the 100$ price range and worth every penny.

They're a little bit out of my price range (closer to $170), but this actually leads me to another question:
Should I buy smaller shoes compared to what I normally wear? I wear like an 11 sneakers (I don't know what that converts to for you guys in Europe) but a 10.5 for loafers. I figure that the shoes fitting snugly would be important, but I'm not sure if it's ok to have a tiny bit of room in the shoe or not. Any advice would be appreciated.

Lol actually that's a good point; I'm probably only an 11 in shoes because I wear Nike sneakers xD
Most of the time I actually wear dress shoes (I go to a private school and it's part of dress code) so I don't really get my sneakers worn out at all

Did you look at adipowers, or power perfect IIs? The adipowers are the newest one. Theyre orange and cost ~170. Power perfects are the previous version. Theyre white red and black and ought to be cheaper.
Siing depends how close your normal shoes are to your feet. I wear a 13 (american) in everything, which is a little big, because 12.5s usually arent available. Since i could get a 12.5 in lifting shoes (i have adipowers) i did, and they ran just about the same as normal addidas athletic shoes, which is to say they fit my feet perfectly, just a touch snug. If i had actually sized down i wouldnt have been able to get my foot into the shoe. Not a big deal ordering direct from addidas, but as the ppII's are discontinued, you might have some hassle with third party returns.

These are the shoes that I saw. I don't really want to spend more than $120 or so if I can avoid it, but if the shoes are that much better I will. I'm also not experienced in any sense of the word when it comes to weightlifting, so a minor difference really won't matter much to me. I'll take any recommendation for the best price:performance ratio from any brand, as long as they have a 10.5 or 11.
Lu is amazing. His collarbone must be hurting, can't wait to see him crush the Cj wr

I'm still doing mobility work. I just haven't gotten up and done anything with my life yet today...

whether you get $80 shoes (cheapest that I'm aware of) or $200, you're going to get 90% of the same effect, especially for a new lifter. The things you're paying extra for will matter to someone who's at the competitive level, and the shoes will probably last longer. That's about it.
The only $120 shoes off the top of my head are the Rogue version of Do-Wins. I don't think they're a bad shoe, they're just ugly =p. for an extra 10 bucks you can get the pendlay do-win, which was updated just this past year. Pendlay Do-Wins have free shipping from MDUSA. I don't really know anything about shoes cheaper than that. Remember, Oly shoes aren't like your regular athletic shoe that will wear out in 6 months. A purchase here is a 5 year + deal. Think hard about whether an extra 30 bucks over those 5 years is worth it to have the best product you can, and if it's not... then is this shoe really even something you need right now?
If you're not oly lifting do you even need specific shoes? Stronglifts just recommends getting a pair of shoes with a flat bottom and minimal padding, and it specifically mentions Chuck Taylors (for powerlifting)

I do barefoot for everything, but I'd like to get Oly shoes for squatting. I do high bar squat which is considered Oly lifting for those purposes. I'm still going to deadlift barefoot, but it seems like the shoes would actually be helpful. They can't be cover-ups for my lack of mobility, but they would definitely help.
@phyre, I'd spend the money on the shoes if I really had to. If it's a huge upgrade to go from $120 to $150 on a pair of shoes, I'd probably spend the money. I just don't know if it's really worth it for me to spend $200 on a pair of weightlifting shoes at this point.
Honestly, i have adipowers and all im using them for right now is rdls and front squats. They aren't worth it, compared to just going barefoot or wearing my innov8 running shoes (basically barefoot). Once i get back to oly lifting (whenever that is) it will be totally worth it. Having the right tools for a job is invaluable. Just think about your situation and make a decision.
Unrelated to shoes, im home for the weekend, and i didnt bring enough clothe.s with me. Had to put on an old shirt i havent worn in about two years - 30 lbs ago. Get it on fine, but its really tight. Get that "awwww yeah" progresss has been made feeling that you miss if youre not tracking things right. Minute later i go to brush my teeth, lift up my arm and curl my bicep a bit and the shirt splits down the back and up the arm. Not even just some worn out rag, but a decent shirt. I had a pump sure, but never done anything like that before! Great when things happen that show you exactly how far. youve come
