i've slowly worked my way up to 100lb (2x50lb) dumbbell squats. i'm completing 5s7r squat sessions easily. in fact, i should have been increasing weight faster than i have been doing if not for dumbbells holding me back. basically, i have to be able to powerclean the weight that i want to squat. otherwise, i have a really difficult time getting the dumbbells onto my shoulder. i also maxed out 100lb (2x50lb) 3s5r deadlift a week ago. 90lb (2x45) dumbbell bench, 4x6. 60lb (2x30) dumbbell ohp, 4x6 on the other hand, my dips and pullups went down in reps, probably cuz i'm usually too tired to do them and because i've gained some weight. pullups used to be around 8-8-8, now, they're at 5-4-4 (tried doing them today). dips went down from around 9-8-8 to 6-6-6. edit: i'm gonna start switching to single-leg squats. that way i can keep working my lower body and core. gonna start doing more dips and pullups (and add weight) once i can't increase the weight on the dumbbells any longer. time to start looking more into bodyweight training ![]()

More than the exercises it's a strategic approach that I use. Good analysis of the movement, proper speed work and special exercises selection, shitload of abs and a dilligent effort to strengthen te weakest links. I design my programs and they are influenced mostly on Verkhoshansky's and Zatsiorsky's writings, and the interpretations and methods of the Westside Barbell.

BP: 2sec pause - 110x2x2, 120x2x2, 130x1 I've got everything planed for my next competition, on fridays I'll try to add 5kg every week. To keep going I'll add belt and progresively tighter knee wraps, so if I can hit 190kgx3x5 full gear (maybe cut some sets, doesnt really matter) the week before 210 would be a walk in the park and 215-220 doable. My bench is unstopable, this 5 day/week paused benches is fucking amazing. did 130 fatigued and it wasn't much of a grind. if I can increase my working weight to 135 in the following 2 weeks I'll bench 145++ np on my competition. I always use this program before meets and always works like a charm. Its only a matter of balancing out the muscles when not doing it, specially shoulders. Mondays are Squats 3x10 with 1 min rests for mass with less weight (and raw), and wednesdays will be FS days. Also today is my birthday, will do an effort to not get totally wasted so I can deadlift tomorrow =/ Edit: I really wanna total 600 and be stronger than any mother fucker on earth below 60kg.

This was after doing cleans for 4x3 with 75%, I'm thinking I might be good for 100kg next week, just maybe. ![]() Dude, you can easily add 5-10kg to your clean if you get under the bar faster and catch it lower. If I were ever to round my shoulders that much, my lower back would also go, and I'd snap myself in half. Really impressive strength there, when do you think you'll max out again?

Really impressive strength there, when do you think you'll max out again? In two weeks. Next week I only do easy speed work on friday but I'll push my assistance work to the max. The week after I deload on everything and max on friday. It's not my low back that is strong, it's my core and especially obliques that protects me. I'm bulletproof on the Deadlift. The only thing that scares me is biceps injury. BTW, is it me or the PR leader board is missing ?
