Gotta do some stretching and stability ball business(like a bawss). I like this PT though, because she said "Most people like to give @#!*% exercises for the stability balls, but I'm gonna make you work @#!*% hard." Yay, it sounds like you didn't get a crappy one... lol I certainly hope so. I tried to find a place which specializes in sports medicine instead of the usual crap they send you too in sweden, lol. Most of them seem to have been involved with an olympic team at some point so they seem okay .

FS- 5 sets of 2 @ 140kg Snatch- 5 singles @ 110kg (no misses, one super bad though left arm totally unlocked and i just used strength) CJ- 5 sets of 3 @ 110kg and 1x3 @ 120kg. Beast mode decaf is getting in shape ASAP Bench- 3x5 @ 80kg Will probably start going up by 5 lbs each day instead of 10 soon. Should be at 3x5 @ 100kg in a couple weeks.
The tiniest of remnants of my abs are reappearing. Feeling better running around at practice. Going to men's rugby practice tomorrow to see if the coach thinks i'm good enough to play for them for part of a game on saturday. Fuck that shit i'm about to go tear shit up there's no reason i shouldn't be starting and playing the full 80 minutes. BEAST MODE. I feel awesome not drinking for 4 days and eating decent (eggs chicken sausage rice oatmeal milk) and getting out in the sun.

Anyone got any suggestions to grip training? Deadlift holds, shrugs and kroc rows seem to be efficient, not sure if it is tho. People here may not approve of this, but a Powerball may be a good option. I used to use it loads when I played guitar a lot, and my forearms got massive. http://www.powerballs.com/Lifetime warranty is pretty good, I'm on my second at the moment but that's only because the computer went. Deadlift holds or rack pulls should be all you need. If you do weighted pullups/chinups atm, try just hanging from the bar after your last set. Not sure how the powerball would help if it only goes to 40lbs of force? Even the new lifters among us are lifting near 300lbs. Sure, powerball might help endurance, but would it do anything for your 5rm? That said, I'm still double overhanding my DL's at 140kg, but that's because I'm a baller. I'll probably switch to hook grip soon, get on my level. Probably going to do a warrior dash in a month... my school's offering a huge discount and free transportation, so it should be fun to round up a few friends. Only problem is that it's the day after "mayfest" our huge spring celebration where they cancel classes, topped off by a 15,000 seat concert in the carrier dome... Gonna have to channel my inner decaf for this one.
You can refer to yourself on baller status when you start deadlifting more than 2xbw ^_^ Warrior dash sounds fun but brutal after all day festivities...good luck :D Also i see syracuse isn't coming to nash bash rugby next weekend. that's too bad

Funniest experience at the gym today: After finishing my deadlift warmup, these two archetypal curl broz walk up to the squat rack next to me and start doing dem squat rack barbell curlz. Between sets, they are literally right up at the mirror, flexing at themselves and shadowboxing. I honestly felt this huge rush of embarassment for them. At this point, my rest period is over, so I chalk up, convert the embarassment into anger, and bang out 5 reps @ 370: letting out a bloodcurdling scream on the last rep just because.

Not too sure where that number is from but I don't really believe it. Just got it out again and I can go all out for not that long really. I think it's completely dependent on skill at using it and forearm strength (and shoulder etc if you want to bring that into it). I'm sure you're right it's probably not the best for strength and for training for deadlifts. Definitely works for size though and getting that muscle on the outside of your elbow big.

Says right on the link you posted that it generates 1-40lbs of inertia, depending on the settings. I'm sure it's good for size - and endurance, like you would need for playing guitar. Also it's nice to have a big brachioradialis - which is probably the muscle you're talking about? very "showy" muscle I guess.

When are you going to hit 150/130 bro?
I've pulled 1.75x BW, but that was 30 pounds ago. I'll pull 200kg soon enough. For now, I'm going HAM on my squats.
Our A side is going to Cherry Blossom (maryland/washington DC), Philly cup (in philly, duh) and Beast of the East in Rhode Island. B side is playing a bunch of local tournaments, and also going to philly cup. Nashville is just damn FAR to go for us, hell I couldn't afford the gas to go that far right now, let alone hotels and entertainment.

I've hit like 95% of 150/130..literally had both above head standing up and lost them T_T. soon. Nashville isn't close to anyone that goes, especially us, its a very geographically diverse tourney. There's even a team from NY there (the NY bazooka cocks rofl). well i'll be on the east coast this summer for sevens...you might be able to play some sevens being a skinny forward.

To clarify, anything you do where you hold some heavy shit for a while should work, I'm just suggesting what worked for me. The simpler the better imo. The rack pull seems like the best option because it is just the top 2inches of a deadlift and then you just hold on to it but lets you overload what you would normally do. Don't have a rack to it in So I'll just do long holds.
Been working out with my brother, so far he is liking it. But it's really hard for me to tell him what to do, he doesn't have the strength to do a full squat or the flexibility, nor the strength to do a push-up. Oh well, made him do a bunch of body weight squats every day and stretch until he can do something of a parallel squat.

somebody fuck my face.
Abdcutor problems, had to do my front squats sets working through Pain..again.
90kg x 3 x 5 Front Squat (good form, just inmense pain in my right abdcutor). 80kg x 3 x 5 Bench
I wanted to do deadlift but, yeah, couldn't, I could barely walk yesterday.
sucks. I'm doing RICe after every session for a while from now on.

Maybe you should just leave off for a week or until you've seen a doctor.

Good day at the gym yesterday.
Deadlifts 1X5 315 (143 kg) PR Squats 1X5 255 (116 kg) PR OHP 1X5 120 (54.5 kg) PR Current bodyweight: 160 lbs (73 kg)
On Wednesdays since my girlfriend goes to a night class we go to a different 24 hour gym, and it is massive. The free weight section is probably the size of my other gym I go to. But they decide to have only 1 power rack for the public (1 in the special trainers only zone) and 3 smith machines >_>'.
Seen some guy doing bicep curls on the smith machine, it was one of those smith machines with the extra degree of freedom, aka, it can up and down and back and forth but not side to side. I lol'd.
Same guy says hi to me that tried to correct my rows last Wednesday. Gives me a side high five like were bros lol. Tries to help me with my deadlifts, now I remember why I don't give people advice. Cause its just annoying on the receiving end most of the time. Id rather go over it with a friend I know is reliable. However, I made him show me before explaining and his form was good so I listened to his tips, except for the controlled movement downward fuck that.
Fuck yeah almost 2XBW deadlifts for 5 reps.

Wow nice numbers!
I've got this older guy who looks like he tans and is trying to be bodybuilder, seems like an ok guy but I think he liked the gym less crowded in the morning before me and two buddies started coming. Yesterday he used the power rack for seated overhead press. Kept adjusting the seat so he could get it off the rack but not hit it on the way up... I mean why not just stand up? Then proceeds to try it in the smith machine O.o

Doing tough mudder in september too. Just started running a week ago after not running (outside of gym warmups... which is nothing anyways) for a year and a half or so. Was painful to start
Still debating what I want to do with my gym workouts. I know I can keep going with SS for a little bit, but I would like to switch things up, plus extensive running would keep me from getting awesome gains anyways. We'll see...

@Zatic maybe lat pull down/chins ups. Or dumbell rows on a bench, googles ok for finding technique for that.
