Is there any way to avoid the incoming bedriddenness and other symptons that will eventuate the next day or is it unavoidable now? I would intake about 20-30,000 units of vitamin D http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2009/10/a-closer-look-at-vitamin-d/

while i can do 114 pushups now with sets of about 15 reps with like 75 second breaks i wondered if this is the way to go, since when i tried doing most reps at once fully rested i could only do like 30. should i switch to less sets with more reps? or should i alternate between the two? also regarding chinups, i guess they are way easier than pull ups, so i wonderer if it is worth doing chinup or if i should rather focus exclusively on getting more pullups? the question with sets/reps also applies to chinups. my main point about doing back exercises is to balance my work where i have to sit most of the day. generally i want to improve my posture, are there any bodyweight exercises for this? i got dumbells, a chinup bar and some small weightlifting equipment (dunno the name, long bar with weights on each side). thanks in advance for any replies.

Man I loved that Glee episode where the kids start taking Vitamin D to increase their productivity, LOL.

I'm currently 6' 2" and 185 lbs and I'm overdue for giving blood for quite a while and would like to end that. And while I'll end up doing it anyway I'm sorta interested in knowing if it would drastically slow my progress or not.

You might want to just do the lifting before donating.

Make sure you're getting enough iron (typically from meat). It shouldn't impair muscle gain THAT much, but it will a bit.

I dont prefer special treatments [eg medicine or cream] You need to eat right. Paleo is good for eliminating acne. Elimination of grains, cereals, junk food, (stuff with trans fats, lots of vegetable oils, etc.), will do the most help. Fish oil helps improve dry skin as well. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=262766

I've got a few questions, whats the general opinion on niacin supplementation? And ZMA for sleeping (got trouble falling asleep at the moment)? Also, whenever i take my multi and vit d my stomach starts hurting after a while, at the moment i'm not taking it to see if it's actually the vitamins, so far it seems like it. Any idea why? Also should i try only taking vit d and skip the multi?

Also should i try only taking vit d and skip the multi? Niacin is found in a lot of foods so if you're eating healthy I don't see the need to use it. There has been some research on supplementing... I'm not sure if it's effective for training though. As far as sleep goes there's a lot of things. See the OP of the TL H&F thread near the bottom; I compiled a whole list. ZMA works for some and not for others Stomach hurting after taking multi and D is kinda weird. Do you take them on an empty stomach or something?

I don't take NSAIDs at the moment, so that can't be it either. I will try ZMA and do some research on Niacin.

There's tons of stuff in the General Training thread under section 3. Also, as far as I know push-ups aren't the greatest exercise, I'm sure there are better ones in the body weight section. For chins/pull-ups, once you can do 10 you should break them down into 3 sets of 5, and start adding weights (start at like 5lb and add from there).

Given that I run 4 miles 6 days a week, and 2 out of those 6 days I hit up the elliptical for another 45 minutes following my run, I'm wondering if there's any other data or information to back this up. I've been stuck at ~155 for the past month or so after dropping from 195 in the course of 3 months. My diet hasn't been spotless as of late but I'm pretty damned sure I've been eating well enough below my maintenance level where I should be dropping at least a little bit of weight. It's quite discouraging. Also given that the above article is correct, would breaking up my cardio into two separate ~45 minute sessions separated by about half an hour be better than one 1 1/2 hour cardio routine? Thanks for any insight
