No vid of tournament...hopefully i can get some videos of games this year. Moved up to division 1 so there should be some good competition instead of us rolling everyone 50-0 lol.Lifted twice yesterday (wtf i dont know why after playing 4 rugby games lol) and again today, Actually managed to snatch up to 100 without my coach telling me i suck at life :D Went like 6/8, first 4 were good then i started getting tired. Same thing happened with cj around 120. Its funny to think i'm still doing the same weights i was doing a few months ago...but with a million times more consitency and ease. Can't wait to really hit the weights once my form is good and start doing reps in the 90% range and see what i can put up in competition (6 weeks out i think? might be a practice meet next weekend, we'll see) On August 04 2011 04:29 ShaLLoW[baY] wrote: decaf the conqueror. congrats dude, i get a warm feeling in my stomach when i think about how this thread and community have contributed to you giving 200+ lb men premature alzheimers. how was the canada vs usa game? we dominate you, eh? ![]() Haha came out 10-10..lame. I didn't get to even touch the ball though T_T just made a tackle and did a lot of chasing kicks lol. And wtf is up with the defense in that game--terrible! I do remember it though, was exciting to watch (I'm not the biggest rugby fan though).

And yeah a ridiculous amount of line breaks in the game, looked like super 14 rugby out there :-p

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/nutrition/what-are-good-sources-of-protein-digestibility.html As you can see, even protein has different levels of absorption into the body based on the food (Put simply) alone. It would not be easy. Macronutrient digestibility is said to be like this: Of course, even that is not so simple. First and foremost, not all foods are digested with identical efficiency. On average, high quality animal-source proteins are digested with roughly 90-95% efficiency with vegetable source proteins coming in lower than that (80-85%), fats digest with about 97% efficiency and carbs can be as low as 80% depending on fiber content. Also, alcohol does not digest into the body (but I believe the carbs are?) Here is the full article http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/the-energy-balance-equation.html Very useful for you, I'd recommend reading the whole thing.

Lifted today... I'm having a bit of problem with my left shoulder when I bench. Just a general aching feeling right in what appears to be the center of the joint - if I keep benching, it spreads a bit, towards my collar bone. There's no popping or cracking noises, no other motions hurt besides benching (and it has to be heavy benching at that) including push press/OHP, or bench on an incline/decline/with DB. I think I might not be setting my shoulder blades evenly on the bench... and because of that, each arm may not be pushing evenly against the bar. Definitely going to be more careful about this next time I lift. I'm also a bit worried about my squat form - I found my upper back almost giving in on a few reps today... really getting heavy. Didn't quite end up turning into squatmornings, but they're on the way there. I'll definitely bring a camera next time I squat and figure out what's up with all of this =(.

It's on the list of "little shit that doesn't matter and wont really effect your gains." (=

@bdicktkam: Probably the full amount of energy. Besides the rates you saw above, it also varies individually among each person by a percent or few as well. Like urasheep said, don't worry about it. You are getting too caught up in the details; I used to do the same and I understand you want maximum efficiency or whatever, but it is too insignificant to even concern yourself with to be completely honest.

Anyway, now that i've been back at it for a week i felt pretty good and didn't have to drop any weight on the main lifts at all! Heres what i am up to now: Squat - 120kg Deadlift - 117.5kg(going up by 5kg per deadlift session, though) Bench 85kg Happy to have gotten over that hurdle of 80kg on bench as i got stuff there for a few sessions, must have been mental or something, as going for the 90kg feels quite attainable to me now.

It is nearly impossible to not adjust the back angle during the movement anyway, my upper body stays only completely locked while using light weights. Definitely watch yourself on video if you can, but I would not worry too much about it. I know that before I hurt my knees, (I was doing around the same weight that I am now, actually... right around 225) I had a significant problem with this - I just couldn't keep my hips "under" my body, so I was using my back to get the weight up rather than my legs. It was a major problem with my lift, according to both my own experience watching in the mirror, my videos, and my spotter/gym buddy. I think a lot of it was due to flexibility/keeping tightness in the back, trying to go lower than I was capable of at the time. I just don't want to let it happen again.
