I'm slowly regaining strength, it's coming back in strange proportions however. 110kg Squat 140kg Deadlift 75kg Bench 45kg Press... I've also lost around 4kg in the last 3 weeks. My fitness sucks hardcore at the moment, I have to rest like 5min between each set of deadlifts to get my heart rate back under 100

I noticed that I had stretchmarks a little bit under my shoulder on my arm and on my hamstring area. is this because I made a sudden large gain of muscle? I pretty much had no muscle and barely had any physical activity for a year. Apparently I'm the type that gains muscle pretty quickly cause all my friends noticed a big change after only a week or 2 of working out. the stretch marks are damn ugly so im wondering if it'll ever go away? it's been nearly a year ![]() Use lotion or something like coconut oil. If you want to you can also google information on pregnancy stretch mark lotions or other things like that..... women/companies have come up with a lot of types of stuff to prevent stretch marks

For example, work your chinups, pullups, rows, etc. as highest as possible. If you seem to have a weak link in the chain such as biceps or lats then once you're very strong add in some assistance work to help gain better strength. The same thing with squats. You can't really beat back squats for full body lifting for novices and intermediates. Once you get stronger and if you have a certain weakness like quads, hams, or glutes then you can use these lifts to help focus on your weaknesses a bit more. There's no reason for novices and intermediates to ignore basic back squatting really.... but once there are some weaknesses it may be a good idea to use more assistance or more focused exercises. I think this makes the best sense since strength has a huge neurological component which you need to get through practicing the same movement over and over. If you want to have more variety for someone with exercise ADD then this may be a good option as well.... but people with exercise ADD generally don't get far in the first place...

I'm just going to quote you cause you summarized every thought I had after reading the article. I love back Squatting, but I've come to the attention that "My lack of Front Squatting" was actually holding me back, and it might be the case for other muscles in my body. but I'm going at a slow pace here and I just don't want to rush things in the first place. So, going by that, I love front Squatting too. I really like the way it sends my quads to hell, and then back, they're awesome. Ever since I've started doing them I've upped 10kg on my Back Squat, and I'm grateful for those 10kg. It feels awesome to be as explosive as you never thought you'd be. (yesterday I did a powerClean & jerk with 75kg. Felt super super super easy.). Front Squatting rules. But Back Squat kicks the living life out of any excercise out there. (maybe not deadlift, but you get the point) .I'm at 78.5kg. 1.5kg more and I'm at 80. Reached my goal, time to go nuts on my lifts and cut :D!

How about you eat less? 15lbs in 3weeks is insane if you don't want to turn into a fat fuck. Aim for 2-3 lbs a month. http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1268956
