How about you eat less? 15lbs in 3weeks is insane if you don't want to turn into a fat fuck. Aim for 2-3 lbs a month. http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1268956 Haha well it might be close to 4 weeks now, i started eating and gaining a week or so after i started the Starting Strength program. And none of the weight has shown as fat i still look good just my muscles look like they got quite a bit bigger.

Last 2 workouts before my vacation i want to take it easy, if my maxes are: Squat: 95kg 5-5-5-5-5 Bench: 60kg 5-5-5-5-5 OHP: 42.5kg 5-5-5-5-5 Deadlift: 105kg 5 Powercleans: 60kg 3-3-3-3-3
Then this should be "easy workout" for me yup?(maybe the squat is a bit harsh and deadlift, but i feel good on both so fuk that. I have done 40kg x 20 on bench beforehand so it should be viable.)
80kg 3x8 squat 40kg 3x12 bench/30kg 3x8 OHP 40kg powercleans 3x12/100kg deadlifts 1x8
-e- also weight under 90kg, from 95kg about a months ago and i am sure about 1kg muscle gain there too, eating right food is the key cus i was doing heavy cardio 2 months before i started watching my eating but lost almost no weight in progress
-e2- i dont want to slack, i just want to do with lower weights, cus i am having a mental barrier right now, especially on powercleans...need to move to proper gym for them, changing the gym in sept.
-e3- jesus my english is horrible

Good god inimene, you're going to be a monster if you keep lifting. How old are you again?
Felt good going to sleep last night... woke up this morning and it turns out those power cleans (up to 69kg) MURDERED my back. Feels good to know I worked hard though.

in few months allready 18...i started lifting too late, didnt catch the love before.
90kg and 205cm about is actualy quite skinni, my waist is 80cm :/ @muscle grow faster

Been feeling pretty good last few weeks at the gym.. I've been doing stronglifts5x5 for the last 3 months so all my numbers are, again, 5x5. Also for the last two weeks i've done only front squats. Haven't really pushed the weight too hard on that lift until i am satisfied on my technique.
235 Front squat .. high bar back squat was 305-315 5x5 335 dead lift 145 OH press 195 Bench 185 pendlay rows
Soon i'll be starting a program my buddy showed me called the superhero routine.. Anyone have any experience with it? Looks really fun and challenging.

I think most of us are at least that age, if not a couple years older.
@steeped - That might be a bit fast to gain weight... even if it's noob gains. Oh well, as long as you're happy with how it's turning out, keep it up! to cut weight, try just reducing calories by 10-20%. Like everyone else is saying "eat a little less at each meal" or "take the food you want, then put a little bit back". You shouldn't ever need to feel "OMG I HAVE TO EAT" but you won't be eating until you're stuffed either.
You could also look at leangains/IF type programs to see if that suits you.

I've gained a similar amount of weight in the 2 months that I've been lifting. Went from 137 to 150 lbs. Squat 45 to 145 (5rm), deadlift from 60 to 185 (5rm). Glad to hear of your success, ss is great.

Not like we need to know this but...
from his twitter: Martinberkhan Martin Berkhan Situps are still completely worthless for spot reducing abdominal fat, new study shows http://1.usa.gov/nxu0YC (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21804427)
His twitter is pretty much a goldmine half the time.
Anybody got anybody really cool to follow?

It's a bit underweight... not massively. I started out @140, 6'3 and gained 30 pounds my first month and a half lifting - I've only gained ~10 pounds since then though. I was aiming to break 190 this summer, but it really looks like I'm not going beyond 180 =(.
I definitely look a lot bigger... but I still need to eat more!

140lb @6'++ is quite underweight imo.
Today's workout:
Speed Bench: 62,5kg x 3-3-3 Military press: 65kg x 3-3-3 50 pullups spread around the workout Facepulls and machine rows.

ABsolutely! just going to take some time and commitment, especially the 10% BF thing. You have to actually start watching what you're eating to get there.

Haha yeah luckily im strong willed and dont have trouble with holding things from myself, if i have to give up certain foods and eat a certain way im pretty sure i'll be able to do it.

Starting Stronglifts 5X5 tommorow morning, pretty excited. I have some experience weightlifting mainly in high school with some good results but as of late have lacked motivation and just have went casually.
Starting weights: Bench 115 lbs Overhead press 50 lbs Deadlifts 135 lbs Squat 95 lbs Bent over Row 50 lbs
--> Squats so low for starting weight because I feel I dont go low enough and want to go mega deep and have great form. Have not did Bent over rows and overhead barbell press alot so starting weights are just a guestimate.
Age: 20 || Height: 5'8" || Weight: 143 lbs
Starting Date: 08/5/11 || Goal Date: 11/05/11
Training goals: Bench 185x5 Overhead press 110X5 Deadlifts 255X5 Squat 205X5 Bent over Row 135X5
-->Again im not really too sure to put for goals, if there too ambitious in spots and too easy in other spots, may adjust after a month of the program.
Nutrition goals -- Eat enough to gain muscle weight and not fat weight
Misc goals -- Get stronger and more muscley without adding on fat. Get 8 hours sleep /day every day. Drink lots of water.
Any one who has done the program feel free to let me know what you thought of it, or any tips to do while doing it. =) I will probably update my status in like 2-3 weeks.

so i've just discovered greek yogurt. anyone have any tips on how to eat it? combined with fruit/berries is about the only thing i know

Summer's up and now i have class + clinic duty. fuuuuuck. This new clinic I'm going to is awesome though, I saw a patient with guillain barre syndrome yesterday. Makes it worth missing out on workout time.
Hit 85kg on bench, 80kg on CJ and 140kg on DL during summer so I feel pretty good about that.Time to stall or maybe get weaker haha.

Hey guys have any of you, especially those who go heavy on cardio, experienced intermittent chest pain? I've been doing a lot of jogging and MMA (high-intensity workouts) recently and have been getting these pains in my chest for no apparent reason. I went to the doc for a physical a few weeks ago and my bp was a little low (84/68) but they recognized that I was a runner and said that it wasn't a big deal. Thanks in advance.
