To use an awful League analogy--you're all kind of still playing combat like it's solo queue rather than a 5-stack.
I'm not a fan of encounters that are hard by virtue of a particular gimmick that can trivialize it or make it hard if not noticed--but I do prefer some greater encouragement of teamwork and communication between party members. Oh man has Roger's "willingness" to "cooperate" changed since then in regards to certain folk.

I might be running more one-shots soon so that might help me figure that stuff out better (balance and significantly but not murderously challenging encounters). It's also really just that 5E is still relatively new, so I'm sure everyone's going through the learning process of how to scale out encounters properly.
When it boils down to it, there's always going to be one safe benchmark to start with regardless of edition--a party will be roughly the same power level as an encounter that's their exact mirror; how hard that encounter is depends on how good the party's teamwork is compared to the DM controlling them individually.
EDIT: Also, it gets easier as the party's level goes up because the party's ability to handle things becomes more consistent (and things become less likely to one-shot party members). Unfortunately, as a party full of spellcasters' abilities come into play, that introduces a whole new slew of issues when balancing encounters.

You've missed some (I think) great stuff.
Roger has been a challenging character to play.

He seems way easier than Azir mechanically, though.

I like the concept, dislike the execution.

150 for a controller isn't that bad imo. 150 for good, quality arcade sticks is worth imo. They're great for fighters and platformers.

Does anyone know if Space Hulk Ascension is any good? Its on sale now.

I wrote "should" instead of "just"? What's wrong with me? ._.
And it was more being cheeky. Why do you guys assume I'm always trying to diss people? I'm adorkable.
