I remember reading a couple years ago a theoretical thing about putting homeless in apartments and helping them find jobs.
welfare is more than enough to pay for it if they dont do drugs though and at the end of the day they dont need much money because they only have to pay for food and utilities like an old age pensioner and obviously someone with a place to live is 10000x more likely to get a job
While I would love for it to happen, I don't see it becoming a common practice across the country any time soon. There are people who dislike the fact that 99% of people classified as "poor" have a refrigerator, as if that's some amazing luxury that "poor" people shouldn't have.

but thats capitalism though business driven meaning tons of cheap shit for people with money and fuck all for people without it they can afford a fridge and an iphone but not a house so they have to perma rent you get slowly bled for rent because you'll never make up the saving for a mortgage but you rely on them to raise teh next generation of workers and give them zero credit for it zzz and someone working at a fashion design business is considered a valuable generator of wealth while someone trying to raise the next generation of humans is considered an insufferable leech WAT
I think in america minimum wage was the amount you'd need to support a wife and 2 kids while working on minimum wage, so the idea of a government that didnt need to do much with fine then now they just force women to work like 4 months after having a kid and curse the commies zzz
though there is something to be said for the added cost of modern life; internet and electricity and a bit more gadgets and such but with how much more efficient we've gotten at everything I don't think poor people should be suffering

There was drama like a year ago when a homeless person had mobile phone. It costs like 20€ for a phone and its a life line especially in cold countries.

Well I guess its a kneejerk reaction to people who grew up with zero technology and it seems like a sign of an "extravagant" lifestyle but in reality theres people all over poor countries like uganda with no running water and dirt roads with iphones
toronto has a real homeless problem that ford fucked up worse by closing a bunch of shelters and shit. i would support more help for them. resources could be diverted from those on unemployment that are only there because its easier but are really capable of getting a useful job. those that try to contibute should be given more opportunities but everyone should be given some.
what was cheeps video i cant watch on work comp/shitty phone combo.

And unfortunately minimum wage only supports 62% of the income needed for a family of 2 to stay above the poverty line.

YOOOOOOOOO
WHATCHU GONNA GET SON
The main rulebook thing and the dark angels codex. Bikes man.
Awesome! Dark Angels are a really cool chapter and thematic army. Be aware, though, that DA is considered a middling army, especially compared to some of the newer armies that are operating on... shall we say a slightly higher power level. Don't fret, there are definitely Dark Angels armies that can hang with the big boys! But unlike certain armies (cough cough Eldar cough cough) you can't just take anything out of the book and call it a day.
But you like Bikes. Awesome! Dark Angel Ravenwing (the fluff name for the Bikes) are both awesome and effective, one of the top ways to run the Codex. They can be quite expensive compared to their regular Space Marine counterparts, but their elite biker unit, the Black Knights, can bring some nasty equipment and tear things a new one in Assault.
There are a couple resources if you'd like me to link them to you. But, it really depends on how "competitive" you want to be, and what the other people at the store you'll be playing at will be like. If you want to build the hardest, most badass army that DA can offer, you can find that. If you just have an idea of what your army is like and don't care about being an undefeated WAAC player, then you can skim some sites and make your own decisions.
Either way, it actually is quite a fun hobby with a cool universe. Let me know if I can help!

I make a decent salary. It's more than enough for me to live comfortably and have some savings and not really worry too much. I make well above the minimum wage.
There's not a chance in hell I would even consider trying to raise a family on what I make. I've always considered myself someone who would start a family eventually, and only recently have I begun to reconsider that, at least for a little while.

YOURE NOT THE BOSS OF ME.
I could have a nice FRS if I wanted, but that would require having will power.
EDIT:
I'm just reading the book at this point. I was just looking around, I really wanted to get the Space Marines codex, but the store didn't have any new ones. This felt close enough. Librarians are pretty cool. I really like the fact that I can make a unit that lights stuff on fire for a living. This is good things.
