I would love to watch a game of tabletop WH, just cuz I have no idea how it works.

It's rather interesting if you like overall strategy and tactics, but it's not exciting like a round of Starcraft lol.
+ Show Spoiler [quick breakdown if you care] +
Basically you take turns. Each turn has 3 phases: Movement, Shooting, and Assault.
Movement is movement, each model has a range based off their type (Troop, Heavy Vehicle, Skimmer, Jump Pack, Monstrous Creature, Flyer...etc), but sometimes have to make checks for difficult or dangerous terrain.
Shooting is shooting. There's a process of rolls to go through - see if you hit, see if you cause damage, then the opponent gets to make a save if applicable. It's based off of each model's stats mixed with dice rolls. You can also choose to forgo shooting to Run, if you're a melee model or aren't in range to shoot.
Assault is close combat, which is the only phase where you can attack when it isn't your turn, since assaults are resolved for both sides in every assault phase. Combat plays out like shooting but with melee weapons.
That's the gist, but then of course you get into things like special rules, reserves, psychic powers, transports, deep striking/drop pods, etc, and your strategies become really interesting.

Edit: you can look up on Youtube, search something like "40k Battle Report" and you'll see videos. Some better production than others, but Mini War Gaming usually has some good ones iirc.

You guys ever wonder how long this forum will be here? How long League lasts, and how many people decide to stay on these forums?
Interesting for me to think about.

TL will be around for a long time, I think. As long as there are esports, TL will be here, even if the focus changes.
As for people... you know, nothing lasts forever. I played WoW with the same group for 5 years strong, and now the only ones I talk to are the ones I know IRL. Life is like that, sometimes you meet people that you'll be with forever, sometimes you're just passing like strangers sitting next to each other on a plane. Gotta enjoy these things while they last, I think.
