Warrior got himself up to 46 health with the help of armorsmith...came down to topdeck wars in the end and I won. Stream's back up if anyone cares. Edit: Also thanks Frudgey, I tend to get the voice compliment a lot. <3 Wait, you plowed through 46 health with the "fuck minions I only play direct minion removal spells" hunter deck? How the heck did that happen? Regarding your drafting, I personally use Antigravity's tier list just because it's more accessible (means I type "ant" in URL bar and it's in the autocompletion list, hue) but I rely less and less on it as I go. It's still useful for classes I don't usually play (like Warrior or Hunter or Mage). I can generally tell what the good cards are but the tier list helps differenciate between 2 average cards for example. They also tell you about the mindset of the player: I know I tend to draft tempo decks because of starting with Rogue, with a lot of removal, defensive buffs to keep my minions alive and general board control, but in turn most of the time I lack strong finishers (in the beginning a lot of my losses came down to me losing steam/momentum after dropping my opponent to 10~15 HP, and even now it's different because I usually have a stronger early, not because I have a finishing blow). Trump, on the other hand, is obsessed with card value and builds balanced curves centered aroud the 3-5 range while taking every strong card he comes across. So you can use the tier list and ask yourself "Why does he value this card so much, especially over that one?" and see what implicatons it could have on your playstyle. About the curve I'd say don't bother about it at all for your first 12-15 cards, look to build a solid core for your deck by drafting card value, and then start building around it. You still look at value, and you start considering combo potential (like yesterday's "fuck buzzard, you got no UTH, but take that auctioneer for your fuckton of spells"), but you progressively weight mana cost more, especially if your curve is tilted. If you're unlucky you may have to throw away very high value because you desperately need a 2 or 4 drop (happened more than once to me x_x) but as you get more experienced it'll be more RNG and less you waiting to long to look at your curve. I guess it depends on the classes you play too. I almost exclusively play Rogue (and Warlock at the beginning) but my 12-wins run was on Priest and I seem to do somewhat decent on Paladin (def. saw an improvement when I ran Paladin 5-6 times in a row). Are there any you're more comfortable with? On April 25 2014 14:53 Cixah wrote: Someone Explain mafia to me. I feel completely clueless even reading the General Guide in the TL Mafia Thread ![]() Thiercelieux (Mafia "light" that I play live once a month when i don't fail to notice that they changed the day T_T) is pretty simple to me: I used to be rather aggressive (calling people out with no clues, and telling the GM jokingly "I just wanted to hear his voice so I make him defend himself") to try and get people to participate, especially new ones, and I died within 2 days. I tried not saying a single word, and I died within two days (once I was Mafia and died the first night because a Vigilante shot my lover, unknowingly killing me by proxy ![]() Sometimes I'm lynched, sometimes Mafia brings me to the altar. It's a pretty consistent game for me though. ![]() Also live games are like 40-60 minutes for a group of 20+ people, and 25-30 when we're around 12.

It's not like I don't have infinity hours squared to post from work. Yeah dude, mafia is great when you just have hours and hours to blow on a forum. I would love to play more if I had the time/it was a higher priority on my "games I want to play" list. I love when we get random people popping in here lol. hai yamato

The summer league I played in down in CT was on turf, which was nice, but diving easily leads to turf burns. I miss it so much. If I was more in shape and actually worked at running/stamina, I would actually be really good at ultimate. It's really cool to see it becoming a professional sport.

Cuz otherwise your deck just sucks if you don't get any other of the combo parts. Generally speaking you won't go too wrong if the first ~10 or so cards you just pick the best card of the three, after that you pick for curve too ("picking for curve" will almost always mean more 2drops + some 3drops, but sometimes it's the opposite)

I need to play more than once a week at pickup if I were to actually get good and I just don't have time. Almost did a summer league but too busy ![]() Also I'd be planning game night tonight like I did for February's but I have family coming over and I need to play it by ear. If my wife and her sisters go over someone's house to hang out I'm in. What the heck poll time: Poll: Interested in game night tonight? Yes (4) For a little while (1) I'll be late (1) No (0) 6 total votes Your vote: Interested in game night tonight? (Vote): Yes

I have no idea how to play HS, just guessing Depends. For example, cards like Auctioneer and Violet Teacher, which have effects based on using spells (draw a card/create a token, respectively), shouldn't be taken early on if you don't have spells or aren't sure you'll get enough to make them worth it (Rogues, Priests, Mages are more likely to receive/pick spells over Warriors or Paladins for example-is a weapon considered a spell? Can't recall). In actuality their stats aren't that bad so it's not too big of a loss to pick them, but if I have to decide between a Yeti (4/5 for 4) and an Auctioneer (4/4 for 5), or a Shieldmasta (3/5 Taunt for 4) and a Violet Teacher (3/5 for 5) during my first cards, I'll choose the former over the latter for value. Questing Adventurer (2/2 for 3, gets +1/+1 for every card you play after him) can be very powerful if you have a lot of low cost cards to play in the same turn to make him sturdy (at least make him survive so you can keep buffing him after), so you pick him if you have a bunch of 1-2-3 cost card already. Typically, you don't pick Hunter cards relying on Beasts to have net value early on (like Starving Buzzard, 2/1 for 2, draw everytime you play a Beast, or Houndmaster, 4/3 and give a Beast +2/+2 and Taunt upon being played, for 4) because although it's easy to make a Beast deck in constructed, you can't rely on drawing enough to make the combo cards worth it... So you end up with Wave's "I don't have minions but 8+ cards just to kill your shit" Hunter draft, finely crafted to make your opponent ragequit. ![]()

Best moment so far. He has this epic battle with a troll, defeats the beast with all of his courage and valor, and then the dead troll falls on him and kills him.
