For some reason noone plays support in normals. Probably because "It's just normals, man!" Which is apparently a completely valid reason to do retarded shit that makes you lose. Apparently, for some people this is more fun. If you want a cool support that lets you own peoples faces and is still valid, just get leona or sona for two completely different styles of owning faces while still being completely valid instead of a champion that is bad in lane and gets useless after 5-10 minutes without farm. If you want something more exotic, take Lux. I really don't see how playing a losing lane everygame and be useless afterwards would be fun for anyone.

I'm not sure what the deal is with all this lag lately, but it's really making me angry. It's not just me, because lots of people have been having disconnects and lag spikes that are unusual for them.
I wish we could get some sort of explanation or fix for this, because when you're having a spike every few minutes that causes you to feed in lane, then the game becomes nearly unplayable.

Well, I have seen shit like support Volibear / GP working to an extent, but generally speaking you're right. But to be honest, I am guilty of this, too. I don't support randoms in normal games either. If it's a premade friend then it's ok. But if not playing as a premade, people follow the usual preference order: top/mid > jungle > ad/support.
I already have to support brainless fucktards in ranked much too often, so why would I give myself this crap in normals?
So when playing blind pick and everybody else was just faster than me and instalocked, I have no problem with sharing farm bot lane even though we're probably going to lose. Either they dodge or we're wasting 20 minutes of our lives, I let them have the choice.
I remember one time where jungle / mid / top were instalocked when I joined champ select and the other guy screamed "want play urgot in real environment need soraka support". He then flamed me when I told him I would support but not with boring Soraka, so I picked Galio support anyways. 5 minutes into the game he ragequits because he never ever gets a caster minion because I instafarm them with Q+E. 
If you really want to practice a certain role / champion, get yourself a premade. There is no other way IMO. But that's what I am preaching for over a year now: tryharding (read: serious and helpful practice to improve your skills in a certain area) is only possible in a premade.
In blind pick, chances are you're not going to get what you want (everyone takes jungle and solo lanes first) or in case of ad carry practice, you won't have a serious support with you if you have one at all.
In normal draft pick, you are already screwed when you are one of the lower picks since you still might have to support and there a still too many douchebags that won't pick support in draft mode even if needed
You can be lucky from time to time and get matched with people that make for a good practice, but that's not worth the hours you have spent dodging / playing something else instead of what you intended.

Well I was jungle kayle and the enemy lux somehow went 13-1 against us. She only got two kills on morgana (I think) and never got soulstealer. She didn't even have that much more gold than us. But I couldn't gank her. She played WAY too safe and morg pushed the lane back to mid so it was never possible to gank her. I try to come from one side, she wards it. I come from the other, she backs off and wards it again. I come from behind. No good, the wave is at her tower.
That's a big problem with kayle jungle too. I like the clear speed and sustain from wriggles too much so I rush madreds. But without boots 5 I can't catch careful mids. I don't think I'd have gotten in range with a flash. So I put a pink ward bot and tried to gank there instead. Didn't work out that well either. My team was even on kills with theirs but... man.. lux. I go so tanky with my aegis, merc treads, phage, wriggles to compensate for lux's burst and she somehow still turns all the fights around and never dies.
Also I watched one of my replays where I went 19-7 as tristana, and I noticed that my team was actually helping me a lot. I was doing a lot of stupid stuff and got caught and killed by darius 3 times. I jump initiated when I though ahri had left and gave the enemy team a double and my bot tower. I even saved hecarim and cait with my ult twice. I only had such a good late game because of my team's good tanking and cc, and because tristana late game is op. Underfarmed caitlyn with madreds on the other hand was not

Eh, he's alright. Good Blitz still useful even if he doesn't make grabs, he zones like a bitch. If he's in the bush, you basically have to stay 1000 units away from it or hide behind your own minion wave. Then the enemy adc can poke and you have a hard time trading b/c if you go forward Blitz can grab you. He's naturally tanky, and makes a pretty good tank (I played a troll game where I went like boots, 3x roa, fh, archangel, you get him down to 20%, lol jk 3k shield). He has a grab to force engagements, a knockup and an AOE silence/nuke on a relatively short cooldown. Grab someone, pop them up, run forward into the enemy, ulti, pop up adc and its probably a won engagement.
But yeah, Blitz iz pretty good. Very hit or miss, so I play him when I'm lazy and don't want to be shielding, poking, slowing and all that crazy shit which comes with support usually.
I've been very streaky with Blitz. Had a game today where I did alright earlygame when an urgot ulti'd my adc then I pulled him back under my turret and got a kill. Then midgame I missed like 7 really ezpz grabs in a row, each of which would have resulted in easy kills. Then later I made a ton of blind grabs and running grabs like a boss. It was weird, I think its cuz I aim a little too much to the left or something to compensate. I epic failed a TL in house with Blitz the other day too. >.<

I went from 1180 to fucking 1040 in a weekend because someone in every team I have had feeds so fucking badly. Every game someone goes fucking atleast 0/6. Every single game and this isn't even a exaggeration. 7 fucking games in a row lost now...
I can dominate my lane when laning, gank constantly and get a kill and multiple kills on each gank but some other fucking mongoloid fucking window licker feeds and loses us the game.

People refuse to realize how strong he is in the right hands. Tbh, I took some time, too. Mainly because I just didn't see any exceptional Alistar play (especially when on my team...). But once both my normal and ranked ELO raised I started hating him, doesn't matter which role. Even AP mid cow is annoying as fuck.
Next problem is to convince my "not so skilled" friends to ban him because they always are like "wtf alistar ban r u retarded?!" when I am team captain, especially when they get owned by an "op" champ like Kassadin (or anything else that was permaban 1 or 2 months ago and somehow got forgotten) and can blame me for not banning him instead of Alistar.

Jesus. Mid annie who suicides for every single kill she gets, ends game 11/11/~6 or so. I'm playing olaf, xin invaded at my red and got first blood on me, annie lets him walk out of my jungle past mid IN HER VISION RANGE at about 200 hp. Xin then proceeded to pretend he was blue instead of purple, and just take my entire jungle nonstop, and my team completely ignores it and blames me for being useless later. NO SHIT I HAVE NO FUCKING GOLD BECAUSE YOU FUCKTARDS LET XIN WALK ALL OVER ME AND DON'T WARD SO HE'S FED AS FUCK
Xin ended game 15/2. he had about 14k gold. I was 1/9/16 or so, with about 9k, as all the assists and all but 2 of the deaths were in teamfights.
