The supposed best tvzer lost to shin in the prior biggest offline tournament and won over solar in this tournament on a one-map difference. Reynor lost to maru on a one-map difference too. The idea that zvt is rough for zerg needs to die because it's just not true.

Cure I genuinely don’t see how he can take Serral out, it’s a particularly bad matchup for him.
Yeah I honestly don't see either of those two Terrans beating Serral this time, especially since Serral seems to be in good form.

If you ignore Clem, the only other ZvT Serral has lost since 2022 is a single bo3 to Maru, who he has dominated every other time they've played. I just looked it up on aligulac and he has gone 61-1-2 in ZvT against people not named Clem since the last time he lost a bo5 in this matchup, with a single loss to Maru and two 1-1s, one of those against Maru and one against Cure.

Yeah, this why I think Serral vs. Maru would be the more interesting match, although Serral is the overwhelming favorite in it too. But Maru is a rarer animal and it would be interesting to see even just what strategies he chooses to play against Serral this time.
Cure, in contrast; I don't recall the last time he won a single map against Serral that wasn't a proxy rax/bunker rush.

So you're saying there's a chance!

Alright so that's Maru taking the heads up mirror opening game.
What does Cure do next.

Such a difficult matchup for zerg indeed

That cyclone locked on so far that it could have killed that banshee if it had been made in game 3!

Not if Maru loses to Cure again like last year lol Cure vs Serral would at least present some interest, though it's close to impossible to imagine Cure taking it. On the other hand I am morbidly curious to see if Maru can somehow find a way to lose to Serral in an even more crushing and humiliating fashion this time.
I need my annual Serral stomping Maru entertainment.

I think Cure probably takes this series but man I want to see Serral 4-0 Maru again so badly.

Brilliant move by Maru, but also an absolute FLUB by Cure. I've seen this too many times. Heh.
Edit -- What did I just watch. Heh. The swings were wild. GG Cure.
