I'm guessing Clem wanted to go out again and play more safe/straight-up game after two trainwreck openers, but I agree that against someone like Firefly, Cure would have been the better choice.
I don't think it's necessarily the case against every protoss, but against someone who like to mix up the builds, Cure feels safer.

Cure TvP has not been in top shape since the previous patch, he start to lose TvP more frequently for the last couple months iirc. So I understand why Clem was sent out.
And Kelazhur was playing out of his mind in that 2nd game imo, he realize the mass Marines Tank wasnt working and switch to more air which almost had Maru until the BC coming out.

Wow, I would not have predicted anything even remotely close to that TL vs offsyde.
To have Rex and Firefly take games, sure, but to have Firefly 3-0 Clem while Rex takes a game off Cure... what an amazing set of upsets.

I think the matches aren't bad for Basilisk, Trigger is the one toss whose best MU is PvT and Showtime can beat Jieshi 2-0. As long as Reynor doesn't completely melt against herO they can do it.
Wow Firefly 3-0 Clem. I want WTL Firefly vs WTL Ryung now. Cure was the best TvP player for a while, but Clem and Maru are both better than him now. Still probably should have sent Cure out after getting 2-0'd by Firefly though

Two weeks in and Basilisk is already basically out of contention for first place, the universe really screwed me this time around.

There is still a chance that Basilisk may not advance into playoff matches provided that the team loses multiple weekly matches later.

It did sort of seeing the results vs Berserker. But I expected Gerald to draw, not 0-2ed. DNS winning a game is rare but can happen
EDIT : this week : Clem, Spirit and Max walked into the WTL bar and got out if it completely smashed. That's how it feels !
