And atleast half of these can be applied to Clem aswell, so even more copium!

Would be nice if Serral won a major tournament where he didn't have such a big advantage every step of the way, but he's Serral so he's entitled to those advantages right? It's not that Serral wins ONE tournament where he gets favorable group draws and easier qualifiers it's that seemingly every tournament is like that for him. Must be nice to have such consistent luck.

It's basically a hybrid long-term prep/weekender tournament. To get out of group stage you have to be good at prepping for your group stage opponents (unless you're Serral in a weak group stage, but even Maru lost to Cyan), but then the playoff bracket is basically all stamina and raw strength starting with Ro12 right after group stage and Ro8 to final in a single day. Oh and you get a bye if you get 1st out of the group round, so if you say were given an easy group in the group stages you get an easy advance to the Ro8 which means you get to skip all of the stamina tests until the final day. And people wonder why I get so fucking annoyed when the groups are so lopsided. Just play like Dark and get lucky and destroy your Ro12 opponent 3-0 quickly in 45minutes.

That would be a valid point if Dark's opponent wasn't the other beneficiary of the lopsided group draws. I strongly strongly doubt Skillous would have advanced from any of the other groups. Group C was by far the easiest group in the pool this year.

If he manages to win here, he'll have to go through (likely) Clem, Dark and Maru. More likely than not someone else ultimately claims victory anyways, so maybe save your whining already?

The amount of salt and copium here is honestly amusing. edit: realized there's someone saying the exact same thing as me right above, oh well, my points stands.

Which he'll do all on the last day. Did you not read my post? Serral got a free pass to the last day of the tournament. That was what I said the advantage was. Oh cool he has to win 3 real matches to win a premiere tournament title, that's so impressive, it clearly justifies ignoring how big of a headstart he got thanks to faulty tournament planning.

It was a Swiss format tournament so everyone was equal and Maru actually did better in the group stage than Serral. Well guess what he immediatley got swept by Serral in upper bracket semifinals. You wanna blame that on tournament format?

You wanna blame that on tournament format? I'm talking about this tournament, not the Swiss tournaments. It's this tournament's egregiously lopsided group stage that I'm complaining about. I don't know what the rest of you guys think the issue is.
