Stage two is like an extra losers' bracket, it's not better than stage one.

That looked easy Think special will qualify tomorrow though

But their tournament I guess.

The second round is essentially a lower-lower bracket. If you go through in 1st round you are already qualified and the losers of round 1 drop down and get another chance in 2nd round. So yeah, the players in lower seeds are in round 2 to start with.

Being able to pause or rewind the stream whenever you want is great, I don't get why the youtube stream has only like 100 viewers compared to ~4.5k of the twitch stream.

Guys guys remember that time, when your favorite streamer invited a Journalist into their home, and ended up torturing and dismembering them and didnt really care that anyone knew? Khashoggi family remembers....

Time getting crushed several times post-IEM makes his IEM run even more memorable. It truly was just a moment where a "good" player became, for that one day, the best player in the world. It wasn't like he was on that level for a while and we just hadn't recognized it yet.
We might have only 2, 1, or 0(!) protosses in the main event D:

That wasnt much to a series, Reynor dominated

We might have only 2, 1, or 0(!) protosses in the main event D: Time's been playing pretty well, I feel like losing 0-3 to Gabe is his only "unforgiveable" loss. If he straight up doesn't qualify for GAMERS8, or he doesn't win Asia regionals, then we can start asking bigger questions.
I expect Time to settle down at the level of players like Solar/Byun/Ragnarok, who probably won't win tournaments but are always threats, but with us always asking "will he randomly pop off again?"

Oliveria's strength is always very hard to judge

It was one of those rare moments aptly described by the phrase that the stars aligned for Oliveira on that particular day.

The top 10-ish players are very closely matched in terms of skill right now. Even when I see a 3-0 in a single BO5, I feel like it coulda gone the other way on a different day.

Man, i really want Creator to win, and he was playing really well vs Maru and Dark (99% of the time), but dang he's gonna have to go up against herO probably. If he gets knocked out, it's cus he had to fight Maru, Dark, herO to qualify. How unfortunate.

I hope that the host will have Oliveira's match played first in the world brackets as long as there is a match of his. The matches will be on at the golden time of Europe since KST 12:00 pm means CET 4:00 pm. But Oliveira typically plays his match at the same time as the Korean players. Therefore, his match can even extend to 2:00 am in the morning, which seems unfriendly to him.
Likewise, if Astrea is to play, it is better to push back his game since he lives in California. 12:00 pm KST means 9:00 am Pacific time, and he may have just got up and finished his breakfast. The time also seems unfriendly to him if he is the first to play in the world bracket.
As a Chinese fan, I really want to see Oliveira playing the game with a more friendly schedule. I think the host can always set up an appropriate schedule so that all players can play their games in their 'golden hours', typically in the afternoons and evenings. If a player has to wake up really early or stay up really late, this will seriously impact their performance in the games.

The KR bracket is a gauntlet outside of maybe herO. The World bracket is pretty favorable to Clem/Oliveira/Showtime/Astrea.
