I find it interesting that this bothers you now when stargate has been the best way to open against Zerg for almost 10 years (outside of very committed early attacks). Especially because there's great variability of what happens after the stargate. | ||

I don't disagree with you that LotV killed a lot of diversity in openers (since we're talking about PvZ, forge expands for one), but PvZ hasn't changed all that much. If you open robo or twilight, you're basically all-inning. Perhaps if you changed observers to be as fast as a phoenix, robo openers would be more common.  There is no real change that can be done to prevent it (as shown by the fact that it survived two expansions and still is the best tech route) as the map control and harassment stargates give you is just too good if you plan on playing a macro game. | ||

More like embarassing for Dark. That choice of build was questionable at best, on a map where you can defend 3 bases on a single choke. | ||
