Could have Reynor won this with his off race though?
Dark is a monster.
I tuned out when it was like 130 supply vs maxed Creator - came back in and supplies are even and Dark has mass infestor ultra.
Creator just wasted opportunity letting his probes killed for nothing. At least herO did something to protect his probes from being killed easily.
Creator just A-moved his oracles into Queen ball below the ramp, he got too excited.
If only he left those Oracles for defense like herO usually does...
Creator lacking the ability micro at both places during the pushes are causing him to lose this match. He saw the ling flood coming, but dropping down no battery, no addtional defensive units at home, and just lose. herO would have the offense and defense reaction better.
lol Dark, "beating herO and Maru were instrumental to my victory"... yea winning the semifinal and final is usually pretty important for winning a tournament lol

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Creator would have 100% won if he just amoved when he had the advantage but still props to Dark, he certainly deserves the title of best player in playing from behind - I don't think anyone else would've brough it back

DJ Khaled voice ANOTHER ONE
Dark is making a mockery of this group tbh.
Now I miss the old Bo7 format for Ro4, damn it would be so good now.
wow Creator and Cure have never before faced each other offline in LotV
To be a bit mean, Cure let Creator win in the end there, right?
It reminds me of the thing in Freakonomics about sumo, that wrestlers will throw meaningless matches so their friends or teammates won't have an embarrassing bagel for the season. I would say it might go double here if Cure knew about Creator's rage and had a little compassion.

Dark 8-0 is pretty impressive

Given how behind he was in some of those games, I feel like the score doesn't even fully demonstrate how much better he looked than anyone else in the group.

I think Tasteless has already called every single possible Zerg composition "Battlezerg" at some point
Ragnarok should've used the biles to kill all the scvs repairing the tank lol
this is like the sloppiest domination lol
Dark would've won this game 20 minutes ago lol
the F Ragnarok was thinking, giving Bunny that last base for free

Love a good clown fiesta.
I can't believe Bunny pulled it out of his ass. wp
At least Ragnarok got a second shot at doing it properly now :-P
The double planetaries Bunny has been using are sick. Real bunker down stuff.
EDIT: Rogue has won premier BO7s in the time it takes for this series to conclude.
Ragnarok trying his best to dodge Maru, it seems.
So is TvZ the new problem matchup now?
Can't wait to see 5 games of this in the decider match of the ro6!
One player in this group had a legitimate excuse to be bad today and he went 2-0, 4-1. Group's actually in shambles. I mean I never had high hopes for this one but they didn't even get over that bar.
I don't know how Bunny was able to perform that well given the circumstances, but congratulations to him. I don't think his odds against Maru are that great, but he should be able to take RagnaroK or DRG and make the Ro4.
I am glad that Bunny did so well (and that RagnaroK isn't great at late game ZvT). He got his hand in a cast after falling on the stairs a few months ago. Now he's been caught in a foreign land unexpectedly while being sick. I wonder if these events have fueled his motivational fire for practice. Maybe he's done a whole lot of analysis when unable to play, giving him edges that he lacked before. E.g. late game proficiency, patterns of his opponents etc.

If there is a terran that can beat Maru now that TY is in the military, it has to be Bunny. The match for ro4 spot will be difficult for Maru

As a Creator fan it was really hard watching him lose game 1. He was in a great spot, but props to Dark for being able to wriggle his way out of that.
Looking at the game, it seems understandable Creator made the decisions he did, and how easily we take it for granted how often pros play nearly perfectly most games.
Creator saw he was up in bases and was successfully containing Dark to 2 mining bases (both of which didn't have a ton left). He was sniping hatches and containing him.
But his defense and multitasking was weak. His left base had 3 batteries but 0 cannons. The other bases had a couple batteries/canons but not enough, and not enough units to spot or defend. Imagine if he just had 1 carrier hovering near the bottom right base for example to kill things coming in the back alley?
He probably didn't consider he would lose probes over and over again, and thought if he just kept his 3 vs 2 base lead, Dark would dry up eventually.
Also like someone else said, he lost his oracles in the moment it seemed like he would win if he just A-clicked. Perhaps other zergs would have quit there, but Dark stayed. I wonder if it was the right move for Creator to kill all the tech or if he should have just A-moved into Dark's remaining base. The thing I'm considering is that Creator's Carriers only had +1 vs 3/3 zerg, so they aren't that strong especially with microbial shroud.
Either way though, at one moment he had like 3000 minerals, he could have easily put 1-2 more batteries/canons at each base, and a spotter (oracle or something) to watch ling/blings coming by. I also feel if his plan was to try to contain Dark and keep his base/army advantage, he should have kept making probes and exploded economically with the 5 Nexus + chronos he had. He could have at least remade all the probes he kept losing to those runbys.
In the end, the better player won I suppose. Creator just wasn't seasoned enough in that kind of situation, and as usual his weakness I think is in multitasking/defense. He tried to do a mix of containing dark and growing his lead, but didn't ensure his probes were safe. There also were no more air upgrades, you'd think getting +2 at least when you have that many carriers would be super worth it. It's also too bad he had no oracles really to put stasis or spot for defense.
Imagine, +1 Interceptors doing 6x2 damage vs Queens with +3 armor upgrades and 1 natural armor. That means they only take 2x2 damage per interceptor, and with Shroud they only take 2 damage each. No wonder mass Queens looks "OP" in that situation. +2 attack would have increased the damage by 50% compared to +1!!
Happy for Bunny though after being so unlucky. He did really well a few seasons ago, but ran into a really tough bracket after that, then got a hand injury. And at least we still have a really good protoss left who can take it all. It would have been more hype to me if Creator could be that protoss, but herO is looking more solid overall and I wouldn't mind him taking the title of first protoss to win GSL in 5 years.
And props to Creator for still playing so well g1. When I saw the Nydus and lurkers preparing, I was just thinking back to the nightmare that was hero vs Dark g5 at Dreamhack, where he had such a lead but lost everything because he left some lurkers get into his main. That seriously looks so tough to deal with.
Creator was seemingly on the lookout for that and caught the nydus in his base, and dealt with it appropriately. That's the stuff I love him for (seen similar situations in the past). I do also wonder though, if Creator could have just went for the base trade there instead of defending at all. Surely Dark wouldn't have been able to muster enough AA to win a base trade? (After all, Creator's base advantage pretty much got negated after since he lost all those probes to ling/bling lol).
