I think most would agree that on average over the last bunch of years Maru’s been the best Terran on the strength of his vP and vZ but he hasn’t necessarily been the top mirror player through that span.
Clem’s got a while to go but outside of the current top of the crop maintaining their level for the next while, I’m not seeing a huge amount of competition on current trajectory. Been a while since Inno fired (he looked fantastic today), Byun has shown flashes if his wrists can hold up, Dream got competitive again post military faster than most expected and then has since seemed to stall. Bunny is stuck in Bunny hell

At worst he switches places with TY for who's the best. Clem isn't even close.

Being a foreigner Terran is great, you can be considered best Terran evah by wining the grand amount of a single Dreamhack finals.
(and I do like clem and I am excited by a EU terran that can win vs EU zergs but come on...)

Not to mention that Clem is 18 and can potentially improve further; his TvT got drastically better just recently, he lost to Mary only while beating TY.
Clem definitely looks like top 3 Terran at the moment, it's not like Maru is on another tier entirely.

I don’t care about Maru vs Serral, not because Clem is better than Maru vZ, but because TvZ with ping is bad. Also why I think Clem had the best shot at beating Serral among the terrans...
Maru can have better vZ offline depending on his injury, but Clem can rise to Maru level in TvZ if the game is not super late game oriented.

I agree actually since TvZ with ping is a different matchup (Still think TY would lose but on LAN Maru I think takes it). Cant wait until we are back on LAN and can actually see these matchups play out without timezone/ping problems.

Serral still takes defeats from Europeans much harder. If it was Byun the tweet would have been "disappointed in the result but WP by him," for Clem it is "shouldn't have given him two free wins."

I don’t know, seeing how ByuN struggled a lot, losing against a laggy terran playing at a super late hour would be much more shameful than losing to Clem on low ping at 7-8pm...
