I like it when it’s used judiciously, to give an idea of where everything is.

When it’s overused I think it can create a bit of a disconnect with what the players can see and what we can see that can kill the drama a bit.

Super Tournament finals for example (my memory is fading with age, the players roles may be reversed) I think it was Zoun sneaking disruptors behind Trap’s army and the observer basically only showed them slightly before Trap got hit by them. Which was a cool bit of drama where the flank bamboozled the viewers almost as much as it did Trap.

If everything was zoomed we’d have lost the element of surprise that made the moment so intense, it would have been ‘oh he’s going for a flank, this is probably going to work’ way before the fact. Still exciting but not as fun.

On the flip side from tuning in to many of your streams I don’t recall it being something you overdo, plus having done it myself it’s really tricky to observe, cast and do both well simultaneously!

See I have to disagree. I personally don't like when info I could have is withheld. I'd like to see as much as possible and draw my own conclusions

So I appreciate the wide shots for the most part unless it is super overused which I didn't particularly notice from the B stream

I guess it’s a preference thing and it’s kind of innately impossible to appeal to both camps, I wonder what the breakdown of each preference is though.

If his all-round game and chops across all matchups have improved rather than him merely grinding TvT hard that’s absolutely terrifyingly for any Zergs he might encounter.
