If you didn't notice, MaxPax's first recorded match on Aligulac is from October 2019; he is 16 yo, a true newcomer whose level of play is improving quite fast. MaxPax just started qualifying for international events, he's not supposed to win them: he's supposed to lose against TY. Hurricane, too, is supposed to lose against TY in a more onesided series than their last at ST(when TY was playing BW). I would not say that Hurricane is so much better or far above MaxPax at the moment. | ||

It was 100% developed by nice__username but I was in touch with him throughout development and it was my initial idea. It's not triggered manually. It triggers gathering stats as soon as damage is exchanged, then will keep tallying up everything that happens until there's a 9 second period that no damage is dealt. The graphic will stay up for a little while longer after that, even if new damage is dealt then it will keep collecting stats in the background until it ticks over to the next battle. | ||

Went back and watched the MaxPax G1 attack at TY's natural. A cyclone did get killed by phoenixes when it was lifted a second time. I'm still really excited about this feature though. Until now, eyeballing it and watching the resources lost tally are our only way to estimate what was exchanged, and it's usually only large units and air units that are easy to count. This is a really cool project you guys have taken upon yourselves, so thank you for that. EDIT: Okay, I think I'm counting an earlier exchange as part of the fight that you guys weren't, so forget all of this. I misunderstood which interaction it was documenting. My bad. | ||

He doesn't have to win events to have results. Advancing from a group stage would be something impressive that he hasn't done despite having a bunch of opportunities. Literally the most impressive thing he's done is qualify for ASUS Rog. Even if we are only comparing the last month qualifying for ST is more impressive than qualifying for ASUS Rog. I disagree that Hurricane taking 2 games from TY is not normal. Maybe if it was a Code S playoffs but in everything else that seems completely normal for TY. He's done badly in everything else this year. They were in the same group at IEM and while Hurricane lost the head to head he was the one who got out of the group. | ||

Ah yes that makes sense. There will be a little bit of a learning curve of how to use it perfectly. We had to make sure that when casters bring up the overlay that new damage dealt after a fight doesn't instantly erase it. So if two fights happen very close to each other, sometimes you still have the previous fight up. | ||

Not sure how you missed the extremely relevant point about the fact that very young players like MaxPax usually improve. He hasn't had results because he wasn't good enough yet; now he is starting to be. Do you truly believe that TY vs Hurricane in 2020 should usually end 3-2? Hurricane this year did relatively well at Katowice but had absymal results in Code S, failed to qualify for ST 1 and Code S S2; not to mention that PvT doesn't look like his best matchup. | ||
