Maru can definitely beat Solar and Dark; at this point, I would love to see Trap win, but his PvZ is so absymal... Sometimes I wonder if you even watch the same game that I do. Trap got to his one GSL final off the back of his PvZ. He got annihilated by Dark, but who didn't in 2019? Trap's PvZ is his best match up. It's you who's wrong though. Trap made 2 consecutive Code S finals last year, both times he avoided PvZ almost entirely until the finals. PvT is his best match-up, PvZ his worst.

They prepared for him and dismantled his play. I m pretty sure a player like Dark is more than capable to 1 up that and utterly destroy him. Also can you please point out to me where exactly Trap was good in PvZ last year?

The best Zerg he beat all year in Code S was Scarlett..

Oh come on, just because he consistently kills his teammate in offline matches doesn't make his PvT his best match up.

If he wasn't against Dark, i'd favor him in this round. Dark is on another level in this tournament, but any other zerg ESPECIALLY solar I'd favor Trap. Wish it could be different so I can prove myself right but oh well. I still say he'll put up a better match vs Dark than any of his opponents have so far.

The fact that Special made it look competitive has me thinking that he doesn't look that great in PvT this year. He still has Maru's number, but that seems to be a common theme in the Jin Air house.

Trap's road to "victory": 2:1 Scarlett 2:0 herO 2:0 Special 2:1 herO 3:2 Inno 4:3 Classic 2:4 Dark
GSL Season 3 2019 2:0 Taeja 0:2 Solar 2:1 Patience 2:1 Cure 2:0 TY 3:0 Keen 4:1 Maru 0:4 Rogue
Out of his 2 GSL Finals in the last year he played 4 PvZs with the score 1:3 (map score 4:11). Can you please link the GSL Season we've missed? Your comment suggest it was S2 but I gave you a pass considering S3 had another godlike form Zerg in the finals

Edit> in the meantime you can see him winning against TY, Cure, Inno, Keen, Maru, Taeja and Special. SO his PvT is that good.

Of course he's gonna lose, he's up against motherfucking Dark!
Losing to Dark is not a crime, and it does not mean he has weak PvZ. Everyone loses to Dark!

You just made it very hard on yourself in the first place since you tried to rewrite history to make 2019 Trap a PvZ god - which he demonstrably wasn't. He might be able to do better this year on this patch, that's definitely true. But with the results that exist, it's hard to make a case for PvZ being his best match-up even now. At Katowice he went 8-0 - still 6-0 if we don't count Maru as a teammate - against Terran and 4-6 against Zerg.

sorry I got him confused with Hurricane. You're right my bad.

Trap has bad PvZ. That doesn't mean any zerg will beat him easily but it means he will struggle against objectively weaker players(considering Trap is currently the best Protoss ) who play Zerg.

If Dark win vs Trap then win vs Maru or hit Solar, he would have gone almost an entire Starcraft year without losing a tournament to a non-zerg.
WESG= Loss to Serral GSL season 2= Win GSLvsTW= Loss to Elazer GSL season 3= loss to Rogue GSL ST no2= Win Blizzcon= Win IEM= Loss to Rogue
Last time was Gumi last year.

That's debateable. I mean sure he is the last Protoss standing in the Super Tournament, but I wouldn't say that's a blanket statement for the entire year.
I'd say Zest has a good case for that title too, even if he did lose to Trap.

Chance of winning this tournament is Dark 70% and Maru 30%, dunno what are you guys still debating about.

I think it's a 40-40 personally.
