This sucks. Serral will be a Blizzcon champ, but he can't be the best in the world without a GSL Code S title, or until he unseats the reigning Code S champ. It sucks that this has to be such a hollow victory. They should set up a match between the two of them. Why the hell is that not a thing? Without real stakes does it really matter if they did? For all of you calling me in denial, I am not arguing how good Serral is, but the victory doesn't mean anything unless it's against the best opponents. Stats, Rogue. Dark? Those aren't it. Serral already proved he can beat him convincingly months ago. He's gonna be the king in name only, because as much as you all want to praise him the fact remains. He doesn't compete in GSL, and he hasn't beaten Maru yet. Those are two gigantic asterisks next to his title. If you don't care, and just want to praise the great foreign hope then be my guest. I'd rather the victory feel totally legit before I celebrate. The disappointment is greater than the jubilation.
They honestly tried their best to engineer a match against them. They didn't see sOs cleaning his clock.

Actually nvm, Stats is in way better position.

Serral should lose a game to build some hype. This game needs reavers.

Serral is actually going to let Stats come back to 3-3 to build hype and pressure and then will succesfully defend a cannon rush in game 7 to win it all

I'm more mad at Maru than I am at sOs. I'm just upset about the situation.
I'm mad at the retarded Protoss vs Terran meta in Korea.
The one thing I'm not is happy for Serral, how can I be? This victory is basically meaningless, it's just a repeat of what he already did back in GSL vs the World If anything it's LESS impressive because he didn't have to face a single Terran in the entire tournament.. I already celebrated his GSL vs the World victory. This just feels like diminished returns.

Serral might be the most complete player I've ever seen. It's like he knows exactly what's happening at all times.

That was the most useless save ever

That's fair. They just assumed Maru would be as dominant as Serral

Saving that nexus can't be worth it.
