Well, there are stats and then there are the numerous statements of pro who all agree (at least the zerg) that's one of the most difficult map for Z.
If you look at aligulac from February/march 2014, protoss does not look that successfull while the race accomplished numeros feat : 5 straight premier tournament win with different players and some pvp (even Z while BL/infest did not achieve this) with a representation in gsl only exceeded by the terran area of gomtvt, I think that's at this time I stopped considered aligulac for balance issue.

My point of view is that this map is a very bad map for zerg in a very good patch for zerg so statistically it's 50-50 but it feels horrible to play as zerg because things ain't going as smoothly as they do on most maps.

But factually it's a "50-50 map" statistically, that's all I'm saying
On another patch it could probably go 55 for terran

No offence, you put a TONE of work in compiling all those stats, so obviously you re defensive about it. That s cool.

If those overal stats that you pulled together would be representative for this tournament, we would have had 8-11 zergs qualifying. We have 5.
Zergs did well in a lot of series that didnt matter. That scews the stats, you cannot blindly rely on those.

And I don't rely on the stats, I'm just stating the fact: it's a 50-50 map as of now. Nothing more to seek, I'm not saying it's a good or bad map for zerg, nor am I saying you have 50-50 shot of winning if you have a TvZ on it with two people of the same skill (because that's not how it works)

Your compiled stats for the zerg macthups show this:
TvZ: 47.6% (1045/2192)
ZvP: 53.3% (1233/2311)
All im saying, and Im not statistician, but if those stats were relevant at the highest level of play, then out of the 16 qualified people a lot more would need to be zergs. There arent. A real 5-6% edge should result in Zergs making it a lot further in the relevant tournaments. They didnt.

Someone who s into this kind of math/ creating models can run the numbers, with those presumed imbalances, run a few tournaments with 50-100 people and with the WCS point system and see how many of the 16 seats gonna get picked up by the entity which has those edge. I took a wild guess with an 8-11 interval.
