Gumiho was the only player in that group who played like he should make Ro16. So really that wasn't an upset, it was just upsetting.
This is typical Byul... Fun playstyle and all, great counter attacks, but his game intelligence is just way too low. He saw the carriers way in advance, even delayed them quite a bit, and he decides to go mass Brood lords? Okay :/

Classic has notoriously weak PvZ compared to his other match-ups. This year his bank account is missing a few 100k because of that.

Classic is better vT and maybe vP. But his vZ is a massive weak point. He said himself he loses to Zerg every time.
In fact almost all of classic's recent loses are to Dark, Serral, or rogue.

Neeb definitely has good PvZ, too bad he didn't try for GSL this season (or did he lose to Hurricane again?).
Stats showed again and again why he is the best PvZ player in longer series. A sloppy bo3 or two won't change that.

He won OSL and SSL when Terran was doing perfectly fine, which mind you were his only tournament wins until this year. No big ups or downs for long periods of time just, very consistent independent of the meta, especially in HotS. He doesn't "only do well when his race has a hard time", he doesn't fall off as hard as the other Terrans do.

Maru doesn't only do well when terran is bad. But he sure has a habit of being the best whenever terran is worst. Late 2013-14 and early 2018 being the biggest examples. Either he plays better when terran sucks or he's just more independent of balance.
