Well it was a good run, at least Italy made the top8.
I used to organize tournaments for ESL Italy and referee Go4SC2s, WCSs, and IEMs for ESL SC2.

Pretty tough bracket for Finland, but at least no Korea in the quarterfinals yet.

Should be Serral all kill without much trouble tbh.

I remember Neeb facing Kelazhur and Special all the time last year.

Well, neeb isn't really impressive anymore, Serral is far better than him.

I don't think so. Neeb outplayed Serral at Katowice then Serral stomped him in WeSG. When you factor in that ZvP is zerg favoured as well it's quite close between them.

he outplayed serral at Katowice by losing?

Winning the game until technical issues result in you losing an entire army still counts as outplaying in my eyes. He should have won that series 2-1.

ah right cause it always affects only one player

Neeb was the one who lost his army because of it. Maybe it effected Serral as well, sure, but it didn't literally make him lose the game from a winning position. Neeb was winning until that happened, hence why I say while Serral technically won the series, Neeb was better in terms of performance.

and he sure showed it by outplaying the rest of his group as did serral

The rest of the group was either pure zerg (Serral's best MU), or Zest (who can't play PvZ) so it's really not suprising. It's not like Neeb did that badly either, if not for the technical issues vs Serral he would've gotten out the group.

Nerchio outplayed that group, but he had to play his weakest matchup and zvz vs rogue and serral :/

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. I'm just saying the performances of Neeb and Serral weren't that far apart despite the score indicating otherwise. Nerchio got stomped by most of the players iirc. Neeb would have beaten Serral and gotten out the group if not for technical issues, which has nothing to do with skill.

Neeb vs Serral was a joke for Neeb, he stomped Serral game 1, but threw game 2 and 3, I'm a Neeb fan but after rewatching the VODs for game 2 and 3 he did not deserve that win at all, lag or not. He could've won 2-0, but he fuking threw game 2, and that's on him

I didn't see games 1 or 2 (at the event they only showed game 3 on the main stage), but Neeb was certainly winning that last map. The observer lagging out cost him a group of immortals and the recall timer, which he had ready to use on his main army. His army then got surrounded and died as a result. If the lag never happened Neeb was on track to win the series 2-1. That's why I say in terms of actual performance he really was outdoing Serral that game.
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

Wasn't it a lag screen like normal? The game didn't just skip forward 20 seconds without neeb being able to control his army, right? I guess he just forgot about the immortals during the lag.

Which is why hes talking about the game he saw..and he's completely right. Obs should pause the game after someone drops off like that.

And after using the recall I guess he should've retreated with his main army the second he did that instead of 8 seconds later.
