i might be wrong here, but taking gold is almost always means aggression, since you have a faster mining rate but you are on the clock as the base mines out quicker ... so i wasnt surprised to see Elazer committing to aggression

You are completely wrong. He went triple hatch...in no way is that some build where he needs to press. RotterdaM was calling it really well too and was saying exactly what I am right now. Had he made a round or two of drones right after holding that attack he would’ve been MILES ahead.
I mean you really expect early aggression off of three early hatches even if one is a gold? What game do you play?

3 hatches plus a gold is actually a fairly standard set up to lots of aggression as it gives the Zerg a lot of production off a relatively low worker count. I suspect most players would assume an opponent going for that build is going for a ling flood to the front or ling elevators. You'd obviously want to check mineral lines to confirm as they could just be being super greedy.

Since Blizzard is hellbent on making Zerg the easiest race at the non-Korean professional level which dooms us all to constant ZvZs, they could at least make the match up less cancerous. We've had two redesigns and nothing has been done to fix the worst match up in SC2 history...

Nerchio actually doesn't have a lot of experience coming from behind in major tournament finals. The biggest deficit he's come back from is 0-1.

The problem with 2016 was that it was basically all bio. Mech needs to have a place and ideally every TvZ best of 5/7 would have one ore mech games for spice, but it can't be all mech.

Honestly it was some very loud low apm players that have been whining for years about mech needing to be viable. Entire community enjoyed bio vs muta ling bane but now we're in a situation where the muta is totally dead and mech is so strong that it's by far the best playstyle lol.
