What is this tournament?
Copa Brasil is a Brazilian exclusive tournament that has been running since the start of 2017, organized by myself and other collaborators as a passion project for the Brazilian SC2 Community. It started out as a Weekly tournament with monthly finals based on points, but now we are restructuring it to a seasonal event, with bigger prize pool and more hype!
Season 1
The tournament will hold 4 qualifiers at the end of June, with 4 spots each, where players can qualify for the group stage. The Ro8 will be played in a single-elimination playoffs bracket, with top 2 players from each group.
There is a total prizepool of R$2150 (about $650), which will be distributed as follows:
1st R$850
2nd R$400
3rd-4th R$200
5th-8th R$100

Group Stage - July 5, 6, 12, 13
Playoffs - July 15, 16
The qualifiers won't have an english stream, but you can still watch it with some sweet portuguese casting. For the group stages and playoffs, the boys at Gauntlet will be covering it in English.
