The production facilities are different, sure, but the mechanics aren't (unlike protoss vs terran for example) Multitask ? It is easier for the attacker than for the defender if the defender has little anti-air (which is the case for a meching terran as well as early-game zerg). Micro, there is barely any as I already said. But I'll give you that one. Less punitive, not whatsoever. If you lose yours tanks, you lose. If the bio player loses his units, as long as he trades decently (= kills tanks) he is still in it.

And what do you know about the game? Mech being easy and mech being played a lot or not are barely related.

I don't know: Macro: slightly you have to press less keys because mech units cost more supply. not a big deal Multitasking is easier: No, if you're opponent is harassing/pressuring everywhere your multitasking needs to be just as good as his to hold on. Micro: Yes Less punitive: I guess you mean punishing; no mech is just as punishing, one time getting caught unsieged or letting a doom drop unload and it's gg. Things that are harder for mech: Scouting: You need to scout the entire time so you can make the correct units Positioning: Your tanks need to be always placed in the perfect spots, preferably in a nice spread. decision-making: with bio you can always attack, with mech you have to figure out the best timing to attack through scouting and just general gamesense.

You realize you have to press more keys, more frequently, it adds up very fast and it's actually a big deal.
