I don't think TY really likes TvT after the patch either. It's his worst MU on ladder by quite a margin and he lost 0-2 to Maru in the IEM qualifiers. Although regardless of the score, the games were very even and TY definitely could (should) have one won of them. If those games are any indicator, it could be a really good grand finals.
Early game in TvT is quite volatile now, what with reaper grenades, 30 DPS cyclones and auto turrets that 2-shot workers. That and the tankivac removal and I can see why some pros such as TY and Maru wouldn't be big fans of TvT right now. But Maru is also kinda bullshitting imo, he beat TY, ByuN and GuMiho in TvT after the patch, can't feel that bad about himself.
Who knows, maybe we get an upset and one of the Protoss players makes it to the finals. Showtime definitely believes in himself.

Maru is one of the most agressive terran of all tine. Showtime has shown almost unbreakable defence vs terran harass so it makes sense. Of course if maru prepares properly he should have builds lined up.
Marus still favoured but if he isnt familiar with showtimes style he could lose
