I want uThermal to win, just because he didn't even qualify for this.

will he get honorary Danish citizenship for that?

^^

heart : uThermal for the story of one hell of an opportunistic run, though Neeb at last living up to the hype would be pretty good too.
head : torn. Should we believe Neeb when he said he played on his normal level vs Mlord ? I'd say definitely no. So yeah, I think Neeb takes it 4-2.

I voted Neeb, but with his collapse against MarineLord fresh in my mind, I honestly wouldn't be surprised either way.

That said, this tournament run by Neeb has been so incredible. Has there been an undefeated tournament run since TaeJa did in it in a Dreamhack in 2014? (forget which one it was)

$o$ won MSI last year without losing a single game after group stage.

Which means it isn't an undefeated run

That tourney was mostly BO3's too which is less impressive. But then this one is also only 4 matches so it wouldn't compare either.

Well, the question is if there was a undefeated tournament run like taeja did, so we are talking about existence, not quality, right?

yea and sOs' run doesn't exist because he dropped maps, how is this still a discussion...

My bad, I mean his run exists at playoffs stage, satisfied now?

not really, the discussion is about making flawless runs of the tournament. sOs' run only covered half that.

And no that other half is not more important for it being an undefeated tournament run. It either is one or it's not.
Not losing a map to viOLet, Innovation and Solar is surely impressive on its own though, we can agree on that

I mean I don't care if the run was "impressive" or not, but there is no big difference between dropping one map on earlier stage and dropping no map, so I'm just offering some suggestions to him, unless you can find another premier event with dropping maps less than or equal to one.

Well, that was not a "discussion", that was a "suggestion". Because only dropping one map in a premier event is also very rare, right? Maybe you can tell me another example with some top Korean players in the participating list?

But that half is much more important the "the other half"

if # maps dropped > 0, nothing to discuss.

Well, that was not a "discussion", that was a "suggestion". Because only dropping one map in a premier event is also very rare, right? Maybe you can tell me another example with some top Korean players in the participating list?

sOs in his MSI won 7 maps in a row

Life won 8 maps in a row during his royal road in GSL. That was the first and only player I had to check.

Nestea had a perfect GSL in 2011

That's actually not true

I want uThermal to win, just because he didn't even qualify for this.

And if he wins he's going to have a Progamer tag on TL too.

Shouldn't he have one anyway?

He does not want one until he wins a Premier tournament.

Neeb is definitely a strong player, and his pvt is impressive. He has yet to prove himself against echelon Korean players, but definitely one of the strongest amongst foreigners.

Question, is he qualifying for blizzcon? I would like to see him make it there.
