Do you really not realize why Tempests aren't the best unit choice on a map as big and wide open as Lerilak? Tempests are a siege unit, it takes time to push w/ them, you need to constantly reveal T's army w/ an oracle and poke them back. During that time theyre dropping your expos/harassing you with liberators, its hard to defend all that when you have a shitton of supply tied into an immobile army, you dont have alot of free supply to warpin units either. You just end up losing bases and are forced to rely on 1 army to win the game (w/ no eco to reinforce it).. so you're basically allin. You saw how badly Patience got picked apart even when he had a group of stalkers patrolling around the map for drops and libs, now imagine how he'd do without them.. Also Terran can just stim/spread his units and dive on top of your Tempests on a map like Lerilak (Maru style), theres too much open space.

Dunno whether this satisfies you. Patience had enough army to protect Tempests; Oracles, a couple of Disruptors and blink stalkers; not to say HTs with storm. I`m not saying he needed to change the whole combination of his forces; just four Tempests which would push Liberators. And Patience succeeded to make times to go Tempest builds by dropping zealots; then he made colossi and Disruptors instead of Tempests.

But let's be real, Patience threw this game HARD by teching to what TY's already amassed liberator force hard counters. Disruptors and colossi can't do shit to liberators. I facepalmed pretty hard upon seeing that.
