I will. I just had a lot of work to do with learning adepts. And other stuff. Disruptors are still something I dislike and avoid as much as I can.
But Stasis Ward looks cool, and you can do some smart stuff with it. I will pick it up this week for sure.

You're arguing that he would have lost in the late game. But I don't think he had a way to take the game into the long game, unless you claim that 400 minerals would have allowed him to get down that ramp.

There was about three minutes between 2/2 completion and starting +3. Wasn't sure whether he just really thought he needed every unit immediately or what.

indeed, pvt mid to late game is very very hard without stargate tech

None really last that long because of balance and the new strategies people are unfamiliar with is kind of making for faster games, but the feeling is there, yeah. The only problem with this type of game is that the income rate is so low that we can never really have engagements occuring. In late game BW, income rate was much higher which created a dynamic that rewarded frequent engagements while players were spread out all over the map.
LOTV on the other hand can only be about harassment-trading in a macro game.
I can't wait for Proleague to start so that we can see this kind of Korean Starcraft more often. The level of skill here is just way more entertaining than anything else.
TY looked sublime, but I'm afraid of how he will do against a better Protoss like herO.

Nah. Zest is gonna Zest things. So either he derps horribly and randomly dies to Terran like for the last few years, or he wins convincingly. I mean, Zest lost a BO3 against aLive in S2SL qualifiers and then on the same day rolled over Reality.
so in the lategame protoss basically has to afk air units behind their expos just to defend lib harass? you cant really chase down liberators from base to base with tempests.
pretty efficient way of harassing. you dont even need to harass, just the threat alone is enough to force protoss to idle units around the map which ends up weakening their main army.

once the protoss has tempest he doesn't need to protect his economy anymore because his army is unbeatable.
TY might be finally living up to his potential. I thought his ro4 last S2SL would be the best we wouls see from TY. I've become used to him never materializing any individual tournament success. He's been looking far better than usual recently though. I'm tentatively looking forward to his results and keeping my fingers crossed that his wrists remain healthy.

Reality isn't any worse. And that's the focus. Zest loses to aLive (nobody knows what happened in the games), then beats down Reality. That's about what I expect from Zest atm, nothing consistently good. His LotV winrates so far are pretty awful, too :/

If Maru is actually the top1 barcode Terran in the ladder right now then I think Zest is pretty much fucked, as much as it hurts me to say it.
Let's not forget that in the darkest time on the blink era (with yeonsu, hevay rain and such,...) TY was already one of the very few terrans to be able to win consistently against protosses (see his record in the first rounds of SPL 2014)

I`ve been following this (including BW) scene since 01`. Dunno whether this satisfies you.
Patience had enough army to protect Tempests; Oracles, a couple of Disruptors and blink stalkers; not to say HTs with storm. I`m not saying he needed to change the whole combination of his forces; just four Tempests which would push Liberators.
And Patience succeeded to make times to go Tempest builds by dropping zealots; then he made colossi and Disruptors instead of Tempests.
Enjoyed the game because of TY's incredibly creative and skilled play. But let's be real, Patience threw this game HARD by teching to what TY's already amassed liberator force hard counters. Disruptors and colossi can't do shit to liberators. I facepalmed pretty hard upon seeing that.
TY was freaking amazing, but i got a feeling a better Protoss would have took that game. Patience seemed to run out of ideas in the late game, and some of his attacks seemed wasteful
I really enjoyed these games but when looking at TY vs Patience g4, my only problem is that I feel players spend most of their time dodging each other rather than fighting, and they finally end up winning by working around the edges.
I just wish sometimes that starcraft was more frontal, brutal, like old 4M vs muta ling bane was.

Lmao you always crack me up. TY was literally trapped on three bases for ages, then four bases, then five. It was basically impossible for him to move out his main army while he had to bunker up all of his mineral lines and leave huge pieces of army behind just to deal with a single speed Warp prism. But apparently Protoss having to deal with something, but to less of a degree, is somehow imba.

Compare that with the Terran having to leave air and ground literally everywhere for all the possible harassment options from Protoss during every single phase of the game? Did you notice how often TY had to just leave Viking / loaded bunker / sieged tank / sieged liberator / widowmines just for the threat of a warp prism or adepts or zealots? TY consistently had around 20-40 army supply just defending around the map at various places; while Protoss needs to make cannons / pylons + 2 HT's to keep an expansion safe from the Terran's entire main army.
Wow, that final TY game was so sick. You could really see how Patience´s spirit was crushed over the course of the game until he lost it and said "fuck it, I´m going in" and then lose. For such an intense game, you need such a calm mind.
