Lots of them started late, while the Foreigners mostly played the beta quite a lot. Solar, Parting and Bomber are exceptions, I think TY also suffered a bit from playing HotS quite long. Though not as hard as the Blizzcon participants obviously. | ||

I understand the sentiment, but the field of competition isn't going to settle for a few months as players begin figuring the game out. | ||

Well TY had enough practice to influence the meta in the first tournament he played though (cyclone openers in TvT are pretty much his thing). So he probably had more practice than we would think. | ||

Just look at both HoTS and LoTV - those are sold as "expansions", but they really aren't that much more than a big patch is in DOTA. If that happened more often, we could have more of these fresh situations, with foreigners with headstart, new things unfolding etc... | ||
