JD should've won with his 1st maxed attack. Forgg was completely out of position but JD ate several siege tank volleys by having his vipers miles behind of his army.

Forggg fucked up majorly there having Banshee's and Vikings in same control group, which meant he said the Vikings to deal with the Roaches at the 3rd.

Generally, this series showed - entertaining - both very low quality games. JD would have had a free win in the second game had he rushed to Ultras. The reason you normally cannot tech straigt to Ultras is that you will die to a 14 minute timing attack without having a Roach/Hydra/Viper composition, however, JD scouted Forgg only had one factory, and thus would not have been able to make a timing attack before ultras were out.

The issue with staying on Roach/hydras for such a long time is that you give a heavy turtling and well-defending player a chance to comeback, whereas you always will trade decently with Ultras.

I have no clue how JD even managed to lose that attack with his blinding clouds uncontested, all the hellions and banshees and vikings out of position and forgg producing Thors instead of tanks.

If Lilbow loses in ro8 (which is let's say not likely but very possible) ForGG is actually my favorite to win the whole thing now.

I'd still put Hydra a bit ahead but yeah, ForGG is in good shape. We could have a Millenium final !

Have you ever seen a zerg counter mass banshee?

Have you ever seen a Terran progamer go up to 10 Banshees?

Statstically at least one of them should have high prediction rates, even if they all chose randomly.

We will in lotv.

Imagine being cloaked, flying, having high range dps, AND being faster than anything on the ground that can shoot them. I'm scared for sc2.

actually since they're "experts" and the results have been quite surprising they should have low prediction rates.

ForGG is one of the only player to play this playstyle, mass banshee is really expensive, slow to produce...
JD make just a lot of mistake in both games

It was 180 vs 200 supply I think. And he had like 30 (?) supply of Roaches being denied by 2-3 banshee's (and 6-8 vikings, though those were neccasary). On this map that attack should never be able to work. Everytime I watch mech tvz in Korea on terraform, roach/hydra/viper is so easily denied by a defending terran player.

I think JD just sucked balls from that a strategic perspective. His loss in g1 was also unnecsary as Forgg did the same build vs Zanster 2 weeks ago. A bit of scouting would from JD would have prepared him better.

And ofc in g1 Forgg gambled completley unncesary by not having a defensive patrolling banshee and not sending scvs to repair the thors in time.

I'd like to see forgg vs hydra to see how he deals with that style.

yes, it's uncommon but ~10 or more banshees with mech has been done before and corruptors seem like an awful idea, they're slow and vikings shred them. infestors and queens would both make more sense

Given that a significantly better player might as well have a 60% winning chance in a game like sc2, you can't expect very high prediction rates, even if they all choose the better player.

Aren't they all multiples of five? If there were 20 series, then their score is whatever they had right multiplied by five, right?
I bear this sig to commemorate the loss of the team icon that commemorated Oversky's 2008-2009 Proleague Round 1 performance.
