Generally, this series showed - entertaining - both very low quality games. JD would have had a free win in the second game had he rushed to Ultras. The reason you normally cannot tech straigt to Ultras is that you will die to a 14 minute timing attack without having a Roach/Hydra/Viper composition, however, JD scouted Forgg only had one factory, and thus would not have been able to make a timing attack before ultras were out. The issue with staying on Roach/hydras for such a long time is that you give a heavy turtling and well-defending player a chance to comeback, whereas you always will trade decently with Ultras. I have no clue how JD even managed to lose that attack with his blinding clouds uncontested, all the hellions and banshees and vikings out of position and forgg producing Thors instead of tanks.

It was 180 vs 200 supply I think. And he had like 30 (?) supply of Roaches being denied by 2-3 banshee's (and 6-8 vikings, though those were neccasary). On this map that attack should never be able to work. Everytime I watch mech tvz in Korea on terraform, roach/hydra/viper is so easily denied by a defending terran player. I think JD just sucked balls from that a strategic perspective. His loss in g1 was also unnecsary as Forgg did the same build vs Zanster 2 weeks ago. A bit of scouting would from JD would have prepared him better. And ofc in g1 Forgg gambled completley unncesary by not having a defensive patrolling banshee and not sending scvs to repair the thors in time.

Given that a significantly better player might as well have a 60% winning chance in a game like sc2, you can't expect very high prediction rates, even if they all choose the better player.
