Forgg was completely out of position but JD ate several siege tank volleys by having his vipers miles behind of his army. Forggg fucked up majorly there having Banshee's and Vikings in same control group, which meant he said the Vikings to deal with the Roaches at the 3rd. Generally, this series showed - entertaining - both very low quality games. JD would have had a free win in the second game had he rushed to Ultras. The reason you normally cannot tech straigt to Ultras is that you will die to a 14 minute timing attack without having a Roach/Hydra/Viper composition, however, JD scouted Forgg only had one factory, and thus would not have been able to make a timing attack before ultras were out. The issue with staying on Roach/hydras for such a long time is that you give a heavy turtling and well-defending player a chance to comeback, whereas you always will trade decently with Ultras. I have no clue how JD even managed to lose that attack with his blinding clouds uncontested, all the hellions and banshees and vikings out of position and forgg producing Thors instead of tanks. It was 180 vs 200 supply I think. And he had like 30 (?) supply of Roaches being denied by 2-3 banshee's (and 6-8 vikings, though those were neccasary). On this map that attack should never be able to work. Everytime I watch mech tvz in Korea on terraform, roach/hydra/viper is so easily denied by a defending terran player.
Ah yeah, I forgot how many roaches he had up there.

Have you ever seen a Terran progamer go up to 10 Banshees? We will in lotv. Imagine being cloaked, flying, having high range dps, AND being faster than anything on the ground that can shoot them. I'm scared for sc2. I'm not convinced. Liberators seem straight up better. those things will get balanced before release.

Choosing randomly would actually lead every predictor to a convergence of 50%*.

The production seems really far less "amateur". Like it.

Of course infestor + corruptor would be optimal. You need a lot of infestors to counter mass air. But going in there with his broodlords relying on viper pulls to kill the viking cloud seems like a bad idea. Better for vikings to fight the corruptors instead of the broodlords anyway.
