JD should've won with his 1st maxed attack. Forgg was completely out of position but JD ate several siege tank volleys by having his vipers miles behind of his army. Forggg fucked up majorly there having Banshee's and Vikings in same control group, which meant he said the Vikings to deal with the Roaches at the 3rd. Generally, this series showed - entertaining - both very low quality games. JD would have had a free win in the second game had he rushed to Ultras. The reason you normally cannot tech straigt to Ultras is that you will die to a 14 minute timing attack without having a Roach/Hydra/Viper composition, however, JD scouted Forgg only had one factory, and thus would not have been able to make a timing attack before ultras were out. The issue with staying on Roach/hydras for such a long time is that you give a heavy turtling and well-defending player a chance to comeback, whereas you always will trade decently with Ultras. | ||
