Same with jjakji, with weaker play, but like many true KR players. Polt beat the greatest PvT players during the Protoss golden era A team made with many former runners beat KeSPA's mighty JinAir this round in PL round robin ForGG, Stardust and San are failures I'll give you that honestly I was just kidding at first, but Yorkie got pretty rustled and we both know that ByuL sucked before CJ picked him up Given what I've seen of CJ, I'm just gonna go ahead and say that CJ had little impact on his skill overall. Send him to any other Kespa team and he's just as good. And what have you seen of CJ? They have all maintained there respective levels of skill, except SkyHigh who went up for a little bit. Hydra improved after leaving. Gumiho improved after leaving. They basically chased effort out of the scene. Compared to say what KT, JA, SKT, KHAN they havent really shown any kind of skill in increasing their players overall skills. Rain got better results upon leaving SKT. PartinG too. MyunGsik too. I can't think of players that left Khan or JAGW recently. Hydra made 17th-24th of Code S twice while on CJ. What makes you tell he would do it now? I'll give you GuMiho, he should have been used by CJ. I think Rain's skill went down, but his mindset went up. Paring went up, but in his own words, "I'm a wild ESF animal. I don't belong in Kespa zoo." They improved Classic (though that could have just been STX), Dream, Dark, soO and revived Inno. JA improved Rogue, Cure, Trap. Khan improved Bravo, revived Dear, improved Solar. KT improved Stats and TY. Every Kespa team can keep a players skill up within a certain range, but every other Kespa team beyond CJ has improved the overall skill in players in at least 2 players or more. In CJ's case the only player that impoved was ByuL, and he was on the up and up before he joined CJ. Basically all I'm saying is CJ wasnt integral to ByuL's success. So long as he joined a Kespa team, I think he would have always been around this skill level. I fail a bit to understand your reasoning here. How did Khan improve Solar (assuming we're talking about the period since ByuL joined CJ) or JAGW improved Cure, or KT improve TY, but CJ didn't improve herO, who won his first KR Premier this year and went one map away from GSL finals, or Ragnarok, semi-retired player who did Code S Ro32 (don't remember if it's during S2 or this season), or sKyHigh, who saw improved results, or Bbyong, who never knew individual success like that?
I did say SkyHigh improved.
I count improvement from when a player solidified their identity to now. So herO/BByong solidified their identites as a Top 5 Protoss/ro16 Terran since early 2014/2013.
They havent gone up since then. They havent gone down, but they have gone up despite Park supposedly being the wold's godliest coach? (I think its actually Ryu Won and Kim Min Ki in SC2, but ahts a different topic).
Rag was always a ro32 player or below that and he still is even after playing for CJ.
Cure was a ro32 player who peaked almost high enough to win a GSL. TY for almost his entire carrer is a perenial good PL player thats goes bad in playoffs, but somehow Ryu Won got him to play well once he got there.
Stats was around a ro16 player for a long time, but he eventually went all the way up to Top 3 of his race.

Actually when you think about Polt's build vs Hydra, it seems really well-tailored vs someone who relies on 6min lair+3rd base

TIL mea culpa.
Yeah he had OL bot left of Polt's base, Polt moved 2 marines there and killed it before it got out of range.

Hydra lost to Elazer? Was nate super salty?

Even if he cleans up the hellbats with banes at that point he is still dead muta tech was finishing and he could have done counter damage, did he even have stim or a starport building? not saying he wins but if the hatch lives it's a game you can play out with the series on the line True, you probably try to play it out as Elazer with 1st place on the line. But Polt had turrets done, more rax on the way and i believe stim as well. If he goes up to 5 rax he just pushes and wins. But yeah you can try to play it out and hope for 2 or 3 major mistakes from Polt

You wonder what happened to Blizzard's writers
Everything is so unimaginative and cliche the last few games

Blizzard making another RTS? I think we'd sooner see WC4 as a browser game TBH. Or an ARPG
