Not sure if he was outmaneuvered. In the end, it was costly for TY's army to kill those nexuses. And on his side, Classic also damaged TY economy while having good trades most of the game so his economy was not that worse than TY's and his army was really strong.

Salt exists because late game ZvT and TvP exist

Protoss late game army is like mech army with mobility.

There's nothing to transition to. Transition into BCs and lose. TY had ghost Viking which is the endgame units you want, that and a few ravens

I think I know what the coach told TY after game 1.

But being ahead all game and then getting destroyed in 2 seconds was always a problem in SC2, especially in TvP for the Terran. So I understand the tears, this should have been changed with the first addon already, but somehow blizzard feels this kind of game is "fun". Sorry, but TY did outplay classic the whole game on, its the superior army and this ONE engagement that not just brought classic back into the game but completely won it for him. If you think PvT lategame that way is fine, its ok, everyone has his/her opinion, but at least try to understand how it must feel for the other person, that is basically helpless in these scenarios.

Well, the thing is, Terrans do really really well in the mid-game. It's just that if the game reaches lategame and the Terran does not have an advantage large enough, he pretty much loses. The matchup is balanced, but mostly because both races have different stages where they can take the win and the last stage happens to be one of protoss.
I'm pretty salty at the matchup tho, 35% tvp winrate @mid-high masters eu

I think TY should expand more aggressive here. He has got him completely trapped in his base.

Now he's using his multi-tasking really well here. This is what I wanted to see off TY for this matchup.

A bit frustrating as a terran player when Wolf and Moonglade talked about G2 TY vs Rogue as: "Rogue is up against a clock vs Battlecruisers, as soon as they hit the field he is dead" But when a Terran player is trying to play late game vs Storm, Colossus, Tempest and the whole Protoss Deathball casters just point out "Terran player sucked here, they did this misstake there".
Instead I think they should point out that Protoss is way stronger in the late game, and give credit to Terrans who puts up a good fight. Like "Okay, he died that game but he put up a good fight considering it was 35 minutes into the game".
When Terran has the almost unbeatable deathball it is often a "balance" issue where Zerg impossible can win. When Protoss has the same against Terran you just point out the mistakes of the T player when he dies. Makes no sence :D
