Especially with Parting and Classic also on lock for blizzcon But there are players here who desperately want WCS points, and who gives a fuck what herO thinks about that? W/e bow down to based god randomization it is the only way to run a tournament fairly I don't think they should have rigged the brackets after seeing the player distribution, that's BS. The real solution would've been having more good players show up for the open bracket like they usually do. Seeding players isn't rigging the god damn brackets LOL why can nobody in the sc2 scene grasp the concept of seeding They did do seeding, 1st place vs 2nd place. Alternatively I guess they could've done seeding tie breakers by WCS Points so that #1 seed would be the 1st placer who has the most WCS Points and they would face the 2nd placer who has the least WCS Points. But they wouldn't have needed that if there weren't so many dropouts. And they happened to draw A vs B C vs D. Plus with bracket rule of "if a player is in your group you can't possibly face him again til the finals" it's really a 50/50. Losira for example could only have played Classic or XY so essentially he lost $1000 on a coin flip. Not saying it's that easy to do it better (although other games seed players based on skill ALL THE TIME and it never causes as many problems as sc2's beloved randomization) I'm saying that sucks big time Not even remotely true. We didn't draw any groups vs any specific group. Losira could have played ANY of the second places. It was a random draw with two parameters. 1st vs 2nd One player from A/B/C/D in each half or bracket.

Try again 1) It was a joke 2) Getting in through EU/AM as a Korean was infinitely easier than a Korean getting through from Korea Honestly it's not hard even as a Korean in Korea as long as you just go to all the weekend tournaments. Jaedong didn't do shit in WCS NA last season but EG sent him to everything so he got in based on the sheer number of tournaments he attended. Fantasy is an example of a korean player likely to make it to Blizzcon based almost entirely off weekend tournaments

So he COULD have played vs any of the second places, depending on the other 1st place in his side of the grid. Obviously as the draw goes on the chances of playing certain opponents diminishes/increases depending on how it plays out.
