Well he could only get second place finishers, so it was between XY, uThermal and TY, so he really has bad luck.
But you are right, if he wants to win he has to beat the strongest players anyway. Now he chould win the tournament by beating Rain, Classic, TY, Parting and herO in a row.
Just imagine, that woule be by far the sickest performance of a foreigner ever.

He couldn't have drawn Parting or herO. First place vs Second place from another group.

well he couldn't get hero, classic, or parting, so that leaves TY, XY, and uThermal. It's obviously just bad luck, but its really quite a pity

pretty terrible luck in that case. reminds me of another recent instance where a foreigner came out first in his group to be rewarded with a korean. mlord against rain at hsc? TY should have been first in his group and Snute would have had a pretty decent chance against Losira.

Yeah TY is just a beast right now, he got there through the korean qualifier and beat soO recently I think. Losira would've been better.

I think it might be a nice series considering their respective styles. TY has a tendency to overdo it on the drop harass to the point where he runs out steam and has too small a force for the main engagements. I think Snute might be able to keep up in that multi-faceted tactical game. Also didn't TY recently beat soO 2-0 in qualifiers? I haven't really been able to watch much Korean SC2 lately so I can't really say much about his recent form. Those games against Losira weren't too educational about his play in the matchup.

He lost the rematch against soO 0-2 (even though he had a massive lead in the first game after killing soO's 3rd). It's safe to say that TvZ is by far his worst matchup.
